Alright for people reading this for every shot gun I mention turn on ur x box or ps3 and compare the range bars.

Spas 12 range bar about half of the 1887. Spas range=25m 30 with steady aim. max
model 1887/akimbo about 5m max?
This isn't right I really have trouble believing that they didn't patch the first gun you get which has a low range bar but with 25m range? Goes to around 30m when you hip fire with steady aim! This is 20m less than the "overpowered" 1887s. Well look at it this way. If a gun unlocked at level 1 has a total range of about 30m, why cant a level 67 shotgun have 50m range? Its 66 levels more to unlock for 20m more range?

The next shot gun I compared the 1887s with was the AA 12
I put grip on. Take a guess which had more range? 1887s? NO.

The Striker even beat out its range comparing a 67 gun to a 34 gun?
And to say it again, the spas is unlocked at level 1. Why is it so much more powerful than the striker you get at the level of 34?

I then tested the M1014 or w/e its called
I had two people stand about 10m away from each other. One with models akimbo, one with m1014 the 1887s missed miserably. The m1014 did to. I moved them closer to about 8m. The Models missed miserably again and the m1014 got the kill. Wonderful.

Next was the rangers with fmj.
I tested this like I tested the m1014. The rangers got the kill.

So to recap Level 67 shotgun= worst. 5m 7w/steady aim.
Level 1 shot gun best 30m.

spas12> models but the range on the models is awful now :s

in response to the topic, the rank a gun is unlocked is irrelevent to how good it is, compare the M16 in cod4, by far the best and most popular rifle and unlocked at the start, compare with cod5's MP40 by far the best gun, unlocked at level 10.

All i was trying to say was if it was considered that a level 67 shot gun with 50m range is overpowered then why is a level 1 shotgun with 30m range not over powered?

Edit How are the models even close to being better than the spas now? 5 range compagered to 30?

yeah I think the models should have a little more range than they do, put I use the spas-12 and I like it, works pretty good.

yeah 1887 are really poor now, i use spas 12 or AA12 ive seen a vid of sandy ravage on estate with the spas12 he kills at distsnces the old 1887's would be proud of spas12 ftw!

hope IW dont see this post or they might try to patch the spas12 aswell

its all about how you use your shotgun, its my opinion that the ranger akimbo is fantastic, yet alot of people will hate it.
the rangers have a very,very small range but at that range they are deadly and have insane damage, so you can pretty much 99% guarantee a kill every time within its range.
the rangers will beat every other shotgun and gun in the game, at close range.

the spas has fantastic 1 hit kill range for a shotgun, but its accuracy is its downfall at close range, you will often get hitmarkers at point blanc range.

the 1887's are currently the middle ground between something like the ranger akimbo and the other shotguns, the 1887's still have a decent range and are deadly within that range.

in short rangers and 1887's are the best for very close range, other shotguns are better all round.

Respectively All shotguns are good but i'm talking about the range bars. THE SPAS HAS HALF THE RANGE BAR OF THE 1887s and goes 25m further!

the spas 12 is the best imo but the striker is also a great shotgun

Imo the spas has a range that does not fit its range bar
