Doe's it sign you out as soon as you sign in with the proxy?
So you sign in then almost instantly is signs you out?

If it does then simply copy these steps and it should work, I had the exact same problem.

1. If it signs you out go to your PC and disable the patch blocker.
2. Go back to your PS3 and quit the game.
3. Now start up Modern Warfare 2 again.
4. Before you click "play online OR you sign in" go back to your PC and enable the patch blocker.
5. Now click play online and it should keep you signed in.
