The point of sniping is to set up camp away from the main fight and pick enemies off without being killed yourself. People just complain because if your a good enough sniper they can't kill you, and you can kill them. Plus in Call of Duty games you cant even snipe for real since your always so close to the fight.

Interesting question, I couldn't make a definite decision. Reality aside, after all this is a game. Camp sniping on this game isn't "noobish", camp in one spot for too long and they'll start coming for you. I'm sure at least one of you will now respond with, "that's when I start picking them off because I'm a sick, uber-leet, beast, pro sniper". Really? What happens to a sniper in close proximity to automatic fire? Worse, the dreaded "noob tube", or as I like to call it, the sick, uber leet, beast, pro tube of death. The answer is simple, he is forced to make a choice, move or die.
Now if the sniper is smart he will camp for a few kills, move to a spot that can see the last spot. Rinse and repeat. Its the player that is noobish, not the weapon/technique. That's a fact the masses fail to grasp.

So many people bitching about "oh the snipers are not realistic" if you want it to be realistic so bad have the sniper weigh almost as much as a lmg and be inaccurate as hell when quick scoping
but it is not noobish, not everyone is a "pro" at sniping
because people are Grizz fanboys and want to ride his nuts so they quickscope
ugh i hate Grizz lol he's just a dick. and he's not even that good when he plays decent people
the only real noobish thing is jacking up noob toobs because it really takes no aiming skill and sitting in one spot, in a corner, aiming down your sites waiting for someone to cross in front of you. once again no skill
