Idk, it really just depends on what is in the MP.
It may have nothing already in the game on it, you never know

im not sure if this is how it works but they either just add an update to the disk, or more likely the console. You download it and then the system can tell if you have it or not and then put the stuff you bought in the game

It is sort of like how the Marvel vs. Capcom 2 game works from the PSN store. You download the demo, and then to buy the full game, you buy the update and then everything is unlocked. I believe this will work the same way.
