That would mean that Sony would have to come out with a new patch for the Playstation disallowing you to delete patches. That won't happen.

They could just make the IW server check for version number every few seconds while in main menu, if it isn't the correct version, disconnect.

very true. I'm not sure they have the control over that. The way to fix the prestige hack is to fix the game PRIOR to release.

Sony would need to release a patch for the PS3 to allow this to happen, and it just won't.
Take this as an example:
You D/L a patch for some game, maybe even MW2, but it's very glitchy and it disallows you from playing said game somehow. You need to be able to delete patches, because they are IMO so poorly tested pre-release.

That is a very good idea..... Then they could also ban them for hacking too
