This boosting method is for PS3 ONLY!
Requirements:
Modern Warfare 2
Resistance Fall Of Man
How to bypass using resistance tut

Written Tutorial
1. Start Resistance Fall Of Man
2. Go on the first mission
3. When you can move press start
4. Go to save and quit
5 Move over to yes but don't press it
6. Take the disc out
7. Put Modern Warfare 2 in
8 Go on the XMB and click on Modern Warfare 2
9. Press yes on Modern Warfare 2
10. You are now bypassed
Once bypassed you will be able to turn private matches into ranked!

You just delete the Call of Duty game data utility off the ps3, I don't know if it works on other games. I think a key part is that when you do save and quit you then go to a second screen that says either yes or no... which is when you swap the games.

In related news, I nearly got this to work earlier!
We had two people using the patch blocker and the game migrated to me when he left but I couldn't start a new game or anything after I ended the game

Yes, just run MW2 normally and it will make you install the patch again.
