Installing linux on the ps3 is not difficult.

yes but once you have linux you cant access the ps3s game os due to the ps3s security system (hypervisor). there has just recently been an exploit/glitch released by a hacker known as geohot which has got around this hypervisor but we are very far away from getting the ps3 hacked like the xbox. if you want to follow this ps3 hack head over to:
