"To thank you for your loyalty to Xbox Live and for buying the Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package on day 1, we will extend your Gold membership for 7 more days of adrenaline-pumping action with your friends on LIVE. Your account will be updated by May 1."
So for all those XBL users that bought the map pack Day 1, expect this message soon
I know this is not very important, but I just wanted to share it.

In other words...

Yeah, basically

"We realize that those 3 new maps weren't worth $15, so we're reimbursing you with a week of live."

Exactly right. Still though, they didn't have to do it. Sounds like a bonus to me.

"We realise that we scammed you out of a shet load of money, for 3 new maps, and 2 old maps, which technically we didn't really do anything to, so you should get them for free. So we are giving you a week of xbox live to the people who bought it on day 1, because we know this will make you like us moar, if you are pissed off at how shet the stimulus package actually is, and 1 week of xbox live, to give to people, is free, so it makes very little loss for us "
