No, I mean actually shot, hit R1, and a bullet came out. He didn't want the 1 miss on his accuracy, so he cut his PS3 off and poof, it was gone. This was in COD4 btw.

It does work thats how i do it on new accounts. Another alternative is just unplugging your Ethernet cord if you have one.
