By looking at the number of people in the Free For All playlist (usually around 40000 for me), I figure that it's a pretty popular game mode. Aside from boosters, what kind of classes do legitimate FFA players use? I'm sure many of the people in FFA play it exclusively, and those who do, what class setup do you find works well? Are there many options that may just rely on the player skill or ability?

What I am really trying to get at is: What is the ideal custom class for Free For All?

When I play FFA, which doesn't happen that often, I always like to be the invisible type. The class I will usually use is as follows:

Primary: UMP45/P90 w/ silencer
Secondary: varies, maybe a handgun or machine pistol, w/ silencer
Equipment: Throwing Knife
Special Grenade: Stun 2x
Perk 1: Marathon (Pro)
Perk 2: Cold-Blooded (Pro)
Perk 3: Ninja Pro
Deathstreak: Painkiller
Killstreaks: UAV(3), Counter UAV(4), Harrier Strike(7)

My main question with this class is the primary weapon and Perk 1, although the whole thing is open for suggestions. What classes do you guys use and/or think are the best to use?

I just run around with a UMP & commando, since it's incredibly easy and I never lose with it.

Primary: UMP45 Silenced
Secondary: Raffica Silenced
Equipment: Sextex
Special Grenade: Stun 2x
Perk 1: Marathon (Pro)
Perk 2: Lightweight or Hardline (Pro)
Perk 3: Commando or Ninja Pro
Deathstreak: Painkiller
Killstreaks: UAV(3), Counter UAV(4), Predator(5)

The reason for the Predator and not the harrier is that harriers get shot down so quickly they're worthless now, may as well use an airstrike.

I use this class in all game modes, it's great for stealth.

Primary: M4A1 Silenced
Secondary: M93 Raffica Silenced
Equipment: Semtex/Claymore
Special Grenade: Smoke
Perk 1: Marathon (Pro)
Perk 2: Cold-Blooded Pro (Must be Pro)
Perk 3: Ninja (Pro)

Strategies:

1: Rush. Enough said.
2: Play dead. Lay down and keep tapping the weapon swap button. Move after every kill you get.
3: Trick noobs. What you do is find a low-level noob and follow them. Every once in a while, shoot a single bullet at them and immediately lay down and play dead. They will turn and find nothing. When they turnaround stand up and follow them again. Eventually throw a smoke at them and either put a claymore at their feet or stick them with Semtex

I usually hold down a specific area in FFA, I want people to come to me.

Scar-H Holographic Sight or Extended Mags
AA12 Extended Mags or Grip
Claymore
Stun Grenade
Scavenger Pro
Stopping Power Pro
Ninja Pro - Actually anything would be fine but I like Ninja
Painkiller

I use the Scar since im 1st Prestige and im 5th now . I LUV IT!!!

Open maps I use the following:
FFA 1
Famas or M16A4
OMA/Claymore
Stopping Power
Commando
Hold down one section of the map. Sit back and watch where others go. Patrol the outside of the map. Alot of people rush to one spot on certain maps. Let them rush there and you sit in the weeds and wait. No, its not camping, its smart.
Harrier/Chop Guns/Nuke
FFA 2

Smaller maps:
UMP-45 red dot
Marathon Pro
Lightweight Pro
Commando Pro
Claymore
I will rush this class alot and do very well. Stay mobile. With the UMP, you have a better chance in close quarters than most.

My booster justice class and my class to goof around when I'm not trying very hard.

hardline is pretty good for ffa if youre not the best. gets your uav out so u start mowing em down. marathon is probably the best choice and ninja.

I think counter UAV is better on TDM. I hate when the enemy uses a counter UAV because I hear running around me and I dont know if its my team or not. Since your using CB you wont show up anyway.

Scar with a silencer. Scaveger Pro & Ninja Pro. Give me those things and the game is mine no matter what other perks, weapons, equipment, killstreaks I have.
