Hey and welcome to my 6,800 word guide to the Art of Stealth! In this guide you will find information that will help even the best of Stealthers! (well maybe) To the right you will find info on the customization part of the game, ie weapons, equipment, attachment info, custom classes built for you, ect. To the left you will find strategies, tips tricks, map strategies, stuff like that.

Stealth, whether it includes Sabotage, Assassination, Spies, or hell even Vandalism, works like a charm when done right, it as been done for a long, long time. Special Forces are probably the largest users of Stealth, worldwide. One of the first Military Special Forces units - the British S.A.S., were well known during WW II. Even the Nazis had their own fair share of Stealth Acts, - such as the saving of the over-throwned and imprisoned Benito Mussolini; leaders of the Axis Italians. But the Art of Stealth goes back even further then that, Ninjas. Yes, the Ninjas of old age, fourteenth-century China. Even further, the Spartans, if a young male successfully stole something - and got away with it (Stealth), they wouldn’t be charged or getting in trouble with it. Back then they used Stealth in the real world, but now I’ll show you how to do it now, in a game. (MW2 if you haven’t figured that out already)

Many agree that Stealth in MW2 is harder the CoD4 - and I’ll have to agree to that too. There’s a whole lot of variables that can screw you over now, ones that were still there but more prominent, as well as new. In MW2 you have to worry about being spotted in much more open - line of sight wise, maps. The spawns are also very unpredictable usually, you may have your whole team or even the whole enemy team randomly spawn on you or near you. For Stealthing I really prefer Domination as lots of people like to snipe/camp in it, but others such as TDM or Ground War can work too.

Okay I classify two types of Stealth. Ghosts & Ninjas.

A) Ghosts

Ghosts are full-on Stealth killers, there main job is for simply shooting people in the back - specifically snipers. They all have Cold-Blooded as well as a Silenced AR (sometimes SMG‘s, such as the UMP or P90, but more so AR‘s). They need to be able to handle all ranges, which AR’s can do, just not amazing in CQB or long range. There secondary is usually a Javelin or Stinger but Shotties for CQB and such are fine.

A good “motto”, sort of speak to keep in mind is “If I’m spotted I die”, or “Shoot first or die first”. When you’re using a Silenced AR they tend to kill a little slow, so Ghosts need to try hard to not be seen. If you’re seen you’re probably screwed, but there ARE ways out of it. Such as dropshotting. (even at medium range) For more info on dropshotting see Tips & Tricks.

B) Ninjas

Ninjas, on the other, aren’t usually full-on Stealth, and if they are, they move around - a lot. There weapons of choice is a SMG - AR’s are fine but they aren’t recommended, and they tend to use RPG-7’s, AT4’s or C4’s for ambushes as well as camper-destroyers. Other times they will use a Silenced weapon with Stopping Power or a Un-silenced weapon with Cold Blooded. You can many times when CQB fights, thanks to your SMG.

One thing to keep in mind though is that players using Stopping Power still have an advantage in TTK (time to kill), so ADS (aim down the sights) as much as possible. Moving is also very important, Halo-jumping, strafing, dropshotting, whatever it may be use it to your advantage. Stay in close proximity to CQB areas as well as cover to maximize your effectiveness against a normal Ghost. (in comparison, that is)

You can Stealth on any map, but there are some where you should Ghost, some where you should Ninja and others where you should not do either.

Yellow Lines
= Popular Sniper Spots
Red Lines= Ghost Path
Green Lines= Other Spawn's Ghost Path
Blue Lines= Universal Ghost Path

Derail:

You must login or register to view this content.

This map is a big camp fest, now don’t get me wrong I love this map, but that’s just because you can Ghost on it and I like how it’s so big and snowy and all. Just like with all maps your best bet to Ghost well is to play Domination. There will be a lot of snipers both at either spawn and the middle building. Theoretically ammo shouldn’t be a problem with being able to knife so many people in the back…but unless you only fire no targets in range you’ll be running out fast with ARs - provided you aren’t using Scavenger. Just stick to the flanks and try not to get into fights you can’t win.

Estate:

You must login or register to view this content.

This is a great Ghosting map, hell it’s arguably the best LOL. If you spawn on the side without the Estate it can be really easy to rake up kills by sneaking into the enemy Estate and owning he snipers/campers. (it’s out nit he woods, what do you expect?) If you spawn at the Estate you can run down, preferably the path I give you for least risk involved I believe, shoot all the supers trying to counter snipe the snipers at the Estate. Use the grass to your advantage when reloading, also try not to rely so much on sound as the grass dampens the noise made by footsteps.

Highrise:

This can work really well as a Ghost/Ninja-in map. Jus stick to the lower tunnels that run between the two Highrises. Pickoff snipers/campers in each building then run away, rinse and repeat. C4 can work really well by laying it out side of the enemy spawn and blowing people up who dare walk out. Because HBS aren’t especially popular and there’s sometimes a decent amount of Claymores here Sitrep isn’t a bad idea.

Scrapyard:

Just no…

Skidrow:

You can Ninja here pretty well if you make good use of your equipment (C4, Launchers, ect) just make sure you try and stay in the alleys and such and be careful with hallways/building campers here. Both AR’s and SMGs have their uses here, BTW.

Underpass:

Ninja-ing here can be amazing, just make good use of your equipment. (like on Skidrow) Set C4 traps and RPG people from above. I’d get an SMG you like Silenced and just patrol the perimeter of the map. Oh and watch for Claymores in the big L-shaped buidling, snipers like to use them while sniping there) Overall ambush the living hell out of people you should do well here.

Wasteland:

TBH I much rather snipe here than Ghost. If you do decide to Ghost here just go around the edges of the map with Sitrep and pick off sniper hiding in buildings and such. A HBS here can help if you don’t need Scavenger as it can be hard to spot people with all the crap growing all over the place.

Invasion:

I’ve had some success Ninja’ing here, just sticking to alleys and buildings with a Silenced SMG, Cold-Blooded and some RPGs can work well. (try to stay hidden though as a Shotties and Knives will own you) Just make sure you don’t [s]tactically[/s] accidentally run into the enemies while they’re spawning. UAV is really helpful here, BTW.

Karachi:

This map can be pretty good for Ninaj-ing if you can pull it off. Stick to the roof tops and fire off RPGs are unsuspecting victims below. Just don’t risk moving out into the open unless you have a UAV up.

Favela:

It’s very possible to Ninja here, actually. Same thing can’t be said for Ghosting though, few snipe here and you’ll be shot from random directions or end up in CQB with your opponent wielding a Shotty. Stay to the roof or dark alleys and knife when you get the chance to (don’t run out into the open to do so, though). This combined with the various level of heights on this map make it a great choice to use Commando - as Ninja won’t be too effective with the Heart Beat Sensors being less useful and all the noise going on around you. Stay to the middle of the map on this one.

Rundown:

You must login or register to view this content.

You can both Ghost and Ninja on Rundown. There’s plenty of snipers to shoot in the back and plenty of building to fire off RPG’s from. Using Smokes to cross the very right bridge (from the view of the side that spawns near the Gas/Petrol Station) isn’t bad idea to flank the enemy. The orange circle is where you should throw the smoke. Just stay to the very perimeter of the map and watch your back as the spawns can be a royal pain here sometimes. Constantly watch for snipers and groups of enemies getting clustered together to flank& ambush.

Afghan:

You must login or register to view this content.

I don’t really like Ghosting here… it’s very open and there’s lots of directions/ways to get shot all over the place. (same with Terminal) I’m not saying it’s not possible, you can, you just need a good weapon at medium range and constant knowledge of the enemy position. Don’t recommend it.

Quarry:

You must login or register to view this content.

Alright I’ve had mixed results Stealthing here… (I kinda prefer an AR here BTW) To be truly successful here take your time moving in between cover, the spawns and all the open streets/paths here can really screw you over. Always stay as close to cover and stick to the perimeter of the map as possible.

Rust:

Haha, no.

Terminal:

I honestly don’t recommend this map for Stealthing whatsoever… There’s far too many angles and directions at which you can be shot from. This map is either Rushing or Camping IMO.

You must login or register to view this content.

Here I will list various tips and tricks as well as a simple top ten list.

1# Stick to the perimeter of the map
2# Have a reliable class set up
3# Watch your Radar/UAV/Map
4# Listen for footsteps
5# Flank
6# Move in 1v1s
7# Go for snipers/campers
8# Keep quiet
9# Stay hidden
10# Think before you act

A) Clutch Situations You must login or register to view this content.

You know those moments when you’re on a 6 kill streak, missed your Predator kill and you can hear crap loads of footsteps all around you, and to top it all off there’s little to no
cover? Well I think we can all agree that when you die in those situations it sucks. Why do you die? Well, you get shot in the back or have no cover… What you should do is not move if you aren’t sure of the enemies positions. This way if they do all come looking for you should be able to get away with one kill to get your presumed Harrier. Whatever you do don’t allow the possibility of getting shot in the back - you have no chance then. There’s other ways out of this, though, Distractions…try Smokes, Riot Shields and LMGs.

You can have a friend equip either a LMG or Riot shield and distract your enemy, or you can try Some Grenades. You can use the Smokes in tow different methods. You know your enemy will look in the direction of the Smoke Grenade, so you can throw one off into the opposite direction you want to try and escape to. This way while all your enemies are staring at Smoke you off the other way, hopefully escaping. The second way is a little different. Lets say this is the long tunnel on Skidrow:

__W_ __

_| |
_ O

The cut out represents the small cut-out corner, the “W” represents the window, while the “O” represents the barrel. Lets say you’re in the cut out, and there’ an enemy in the window. And you know he’s watching you, well you can throw a smoke a the barrel and sprint along either wall out of the tunnel to safety. Hopefully he doesn’t kill you with some lucky spamming, but if he does at least you tried. One thing to keep in mind though is don’t move into the smoke until it fills up, as you can sometimes see silhouettes of people through undeveloped smoke.

B) How to stay hidden

Here’s some tips on how to stay hidden:

1# use the grass in this game to your advantage
2# go prone when reloading
3# crouch when walking past a wall
4# try Smokes when going past open areas or throw one in the opposite direction you’re heading
5# if you think there’s enemies near by just go prone behind something and wait until they pass or you either know where they are by UAV or something - don’t get caught with your pants down [your back turned]
6# constantly press the “switch weapon” button to appear to be dead

NOTE: The range effectiveness is for when the weapon is silenced and you have Cold-Blooded on.

Assault Rifles

ARs:

R-ACR (Remington ACR, aka Racer)
You must login or register to view this content.
Effective range: CQB-[63%] Medium-[75%] Long range-[70%]
Damage: 30-20
Clip: 30
Level Unlocked: 48

Okay I actually kinda recommend this for AR Ghosting, but just to warn you a lot of targets may be barely escaping to cover with it’s low damage at range.

M-4
You must login or register to view this content.
Effective range: CQB-[68%] Medium-[75%] Long range-[65%]
Damage: 30-20
Clip: 30
Level Unlocked: 4

This is better then the ACR at close range thanks to it’s RoF, but it ahs more recoil and less range for long-range killing. It also has the same problem with targets escaping to cover right before they die. Your choice.

FAMAS
You must login or register to view this content.
Effective range: CQB-[30%] Medium-[75%] Long range-[85%]
Damage: 40-20
Clip: 30
Level Unlocked: 4

See M16 below: This is better at long range then the M16 thanks to it’s longer range and slightly quicker burst, but it’s a little worse at CQB then the M16 as it has a slightly slower RoF.

M-16
You must login or register to view this content.
Effective range: CQB-[35%] Medium-[70%] Long range-[80%]
Damage: 40-20
Clip: 30
Level Unlocked: 40

If you have awesome aim and a great connection then this isn’t too bad for medium range Ghosting but I don’t really recommend it as you would have to either loose the ability to use a Stinger/Javelin or use Commando over Ninja to actually be truly effective with it IMO.

FN-2K
You must login or register to view this content.
Effective range: CQB-[76%] Medium-[70%] Long range-[30%]
Damage: 30-20
Clip: 30
Level Unlocked: 60

This is basically a lower RoF Muzi with worse Mobility and more recoil but better range as a trade off… Don’t use for Stealthing unless you are amazing with handling it’s recoil.

TAR-21
You must login or register to view this content.
Effective range: CQB-[75%] Medium-[80%] Long range-[60%]
Damage: 40-30
Clip: 30
Level Unlocked: 20

If you want to Ghost/Ninja but don’t want to use a SMG I would recommend this. It’s the best AR for CQB and it also kills pretty fast at Medium-Range. Only problem is killing a lot of people with each mag (easy to spam with) and it’s recoil at long range. Over-all I think it can work well with both a Ghost and a Ninja’s strategies.

SCAR-H
You must login or register to view this content.
Effective range: CQB-[60%] Medium-[75%] Long range-[70%]
Damage: 40-30
Clip: 20
Level Unlocked: 8

This gun is pretty decent at medium range silenced and kills at a alright speed at long range provided you have good accuracy with hitting them. It only ahs a 20 round mag so it’s not good for taking out groups. (there’s ways around that though, see Tips & Tricks)
If you don’t mind using Bling for Extended Mags I think this is a pretty good choice, just don’t use if you have bad aim/accuracy.

AK-47
You must login or register to view this content.
Effective range: CQB-[67%] Medium-[75%] Long range-[50%]
Damage: 40-30
Clip: 30
Level Unlocked: 70

If you don’t like the SCAR because it’s mag is too small and it kills too slowly and you would like a little less recoil then the TAR, take this. Just keep in mind adding ANY attachment to the AK-47 makes it sway, the only exception is the ACOG.

FN-FAL
You must login or register to view this content.
Effective range: CQB-[25%] Medium-[75%] Long range-[70%]
Damage: 55-35 (55-40 with Holosight / Holo + Silencer)
Clip: 20
Level Unlocked: 28

If you have a super fast trigger finger and love knifing I would recommend this gun, but since most people don’t have super fast trigger fingers, and you might have to give up Ninja for Commando I don’t really recommend this. The FAL will two hit kill at medium-close range with a silencer btw, (strangely it has the shortest range of all the AR’s, as you can see above in the chart)

SMGs:

H&K-MP5K

You must login or register to view this content.
Effective range: CQB-[90%] Medium-[40%] Long range-[0%]
Damage: 40-20
Clip: 30
Level Unlocked: 4

This is actually a great Ninja Weapon, it kills super quick at close range. (it actually has the highest TTK at CQB if you only include full-auto AR’s and SMGs) With this weapon try to stay as close to CQB areas on the map as possible as if you’re caught in a 1V1 up against an AR at medium range + you’re probably screwed. This is because the recoil on this weapon is very uncontrollable and random.

Mini-Uzi

You must login or register to view this content.
Effective range: CQB-[83%] Medium-[60%] Long range-[0%]
Damage: 30-20
Clip: 32
Level Unlocked: 44

Use this just like you would the MP5K, it kills a little slower but it has much more predictable recoil. (straight up)

H&K-UMP.45
You must login or register to view this content.
Effective range: CQB-[50%] Medium-[70%] Long range-[40%]
Damage: 40-35
Clip: 32
Level Unlocked: 4

I prefer this as a Ghosting weapon my self as you cans many times handle medium range. You also have the ability to three-shot-kill across the map - even with Cold-Blooded and with the weapon Silenced. This way it’s possibly - very possibly, to kill sniper or immobile targets at a distance if they don’t move too quickly. (this is because you would have to burs them, the UMP has crap loads of recoil)

FN-P90
You must login or register to view this content.
Effective range: CQB-[80%] Medium-[60%] Long range-[0%]
Damage:
Clip:
Level Unlocked: 24

This weapon is both good as a Ninja weapon and a Ghost weapon. It kills a little slowly but it has a massive clip to spam at the five guys in front of you, unlike the other SMGs. This weapon can sometimes handle medium range but I recommend try to stay close to cover and in QB areas as it still not nearly as effective as a Stopping Powered AR.

TDI-Vector
You must login or register to view this content.
Effective range: CQB-[88%] Medium-[65%] Long range-[0%]
Damage: 25-20 (last one?)
Clip: 30
Level Unlocked: 12

This is really just a faster TTK version of the Mini-Uzi that’s mag runs dry really, really quick. You’ll be reloading a crap load, even then I've found this weapon to be a really nice Ghost weapon... The silencer makes it have very little recoil and it's very nice to use at medium range. I'd say try it out and see if you like, just don't forget to bring Scavenger.

Equipment, Attachments and ‘Nades

Equipment:

These words decent for taking out campers but I would only slightly recommend it for maybe Ninjas. I prefer Frags as they make less noise and are very good for cookin
g them to the ppint they explode mid-air into the sniper’s face. (like into the windows on Estate and such)

You must login or register to view this content.

Absolutely awesome for Stealthing… Setting ambushes, using it like a Frag, or humiliating snipers - it’s awesome. Even though you only get one (unlike CoD4 where you got two) it’s still very useful, use it.

You must login or register to view this content.

Great for humiliating snipers/campers but TBH it’s not very good for good for Stealthing… Possibly useful for setting ambushes for Ninjas.

You must login or register to view this content.

This is great for kicks but otherwise I don’t really recommend using this unless you happen to be really good with it or want to take out multiple camping Tangos without being heard. You can pick it back up after using it though so technically it has infinite ammo…

You must login or register to view this content.

These work alright for Ghosts. Just get into their spawn and set one, next time you die you’ll be able to own them all over again. Only recommended if you opponent is sniping a lot though or if you simply want to camp their spawn. (which is surprisingly effective on CTF)

Strategies

C) Audio=Visual
You must login or register to view this content.

Sound, just like the other CoD games is very important for every game type. Knowing what weapon your enemy is using and their location is very important. Why I mean by knowing their location is not just by UAV…but by footsteps, being able to hear an enemies footsteps is HUGE. Go to any good You-Tuber and notice how they all have a headset… Exactly. I my self just sit really close to my TV so I don’t really need a headset but they can help for surround sound.

D) Movement

Win you come across a guy in a 1V1 and you’re Ghosting you need to either be more accurate then them, or make their accuracy go down the drain…or both. If you want their accuracy go down the drain (which I recommend) you’re going need to move, A LOT.

*Drop-shotting

You must login or register to view this content.

Ah, the art of drop-shotting…for those who don’t know drop-shotting is going prone while firing at a target. This makes you much harder to hit, but sometimes it may just end up giving your opponent a free headshot. It doesn’t work nearly as well as it did in CoD4 but it still works. I y self use the “B” button to dropshot-yes I can do 180 Halo-Jump Dropshots around corners while aiming. I recommend just getting used to using the “B” (or prone button on the default control setting) for trapshooting as when your used to it it’s easy + you can still knife if you want to unlike with the Tactical Layout. For Ghosting I drop-shot even at medium range as your weapons kill very slower when Ghosting at range.

*Halo-jumping

You must login or register to view this content.

Halo jumping is simply jumping while shooting at an enemy. This can be very useful for doing around corners. For example lets easy you know a guy is around the corner. You can sprint, jump, turn, and then dropshot the target all while firing if you have enough skill/experience in this field. I don’t really recommend this for direct encounters though, unlike dropshotting.

*Strafing

LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT.

Strafing if you don’t know if basically moving back and forth while in a 1V1 or hell even looking out a window if you want. I highly recommend doing this whenever you can, it can really throw people off at long range, more so FAL/FAM16 or SMG users. Do this whenever you can.

E) Should I shoot or let ‘em go?

If you see someone out in the open really far away running down bother shooting, if you’re in their spawn and you have to run into the open to get a kill - your best letting them go. If you’re behind a larger group that is going to all random direction and quickly covering ground et the ones in the front or the quickest ones go. The proceed to kill the rest and retreat. (or possibly go after the others) If you’re behind a large group of enemies in the first place do one of the following:

1) Stun them and then proceed to kill them
2) Use an explosive on them
3) Tactical knife them after stunning them
4) Let them spit up and follow&kill one group
5) Let them split up and kill one group and go after the other

You must login or register to view this content.

Here I will give you a couple of random strategies you can try for fun or effectiveness.
A) How to Ghost with a LMG

Ghosting with an LMG is weird thing, if you took the time to look at the chart above in the weapons section a silencer on a LMG reduces damage - not range like the other weapons. (side snipers) It reduces the damage by 10, so a 40 damage LMG(L86, RPD, AUG) will do 30, and a 30 damage LMG(MG4, M240) will do a mere 20...

The main advantage to using an LMG to ghost is the fact you won’t have to reload so much, so that takes out the AUG. The silencer on the M240 still shows up no the radar so that kicks that out… The L86 has large amounts of recoil so I don’t recommend if for ghosting.

M240
MG4
AUG
RPD
L86

So that leaves you with the RPD or MG4 - your choice. The RPD has a better TTK but more recoil, and the MG4’s sights are miss-lined. (the shots actually hit slightly below where they should) The actually ghost with one just say behind the enemy at all times, or set up shop at a key choke point. If you want to be able to take CQB just bring a AA-12 with Extended Mags along with you.

Okay so why should you LMG ghost? Well you can take out entire teams without reloading obviously but there’s more. For good Ghosters we usually just end up using Scavenger for ammo problems (usually) but with LMGs you already have a decent amount of ammo. This way you can use Bling (Silencer + HBS, anyone?), or possibly Marathon to account for the low mobility that a LMG brings. Either way the other tier one perks can face Scavenger with a mean, mean, grin.

B) James Bond Ghosting

To James Bond Ghost you need to set up a class like this:

James Bond style ghosting is kind of close to being a Ninja, actually. Charge your enemy from behind with your UMP and switch to your USP for stylish kills or if you need to reload. A Silenced UMP because Bond uses it in The Quantum of Solace (except in the 9mm version) and a Silenced USP because it looks relatively close to the P99 and the M9’s Silenced still shows up on the radar due to a bug. Flash bangs because they look more stylish and C4 because it makes for [big] booms.

C) Ghost Sniping

Unlike CoD4 you can now truly ghost snipe - that is with a silencer. You don’t have to use a silencer though, there’s exceptions with that, well, actually one. There are two class set-ups you should use, with secondaries of your choice:

These are the best sniper ghosting classes, the M21 Silenced with Cold-blooded because it gains very little from using Stopping Power. You might as well 2HK with a Silencer and Cold-Blooded than 2HK with Stopping Power and a Silencer plus occasional OHK, right? Right. For the WA2000 it’s HOK hit zones aren’t effected by Stopping Power, so it will always OHK to the upper torso and above. Silencer destroys that though, making it a terrible M21 EBR. Stopping Power fixes that, but we’re Ghost Sniping here, remember?

Tips:

1# Stay to the edges of the map
2# Only fire at a target if you know you can kill them
3# You CAN NOT OHK with the M21 with that set-up, even to the head, so spam it
4# Aim for the upper-torso with the WA2000, try not to spam it too much; use it like a Barrett
5# have your secondary already out when in a CQB area

You obviously need a Silencer, unless you plan on semi-Ghosting it up without no and a Cold-Blooded. (a form of a Ninja) If you are going to Ninja without on I would recommend either a Grenade Launcher or HBS for ambushes. The Grenade Launcher (GL) also works great for room clearing and camper destroying. If you’re using an SMG IMO you should just stick with a Silencer. Now Bling is another story. If you plan on using Bling for Ghosting I’d have to go with either Silencer + HBS or Silencer + GL. If you want it Bling your SMG (which I don’t recommend really) you should get used to Silencer + RapidFire if you aren’t suing Stopping Power or Silencer + RDS if you are.
Special ‘Nades:

Flash:

Flashes are great for room clearing. I.e. campers and snipers. These work great for steathing, just remember they have a much longer throw time.

Stun:

These are best for non-Stealthing IMO. Great for slowing down large groups of enemies though or even just eh most random guy you want to knife in the back.

Smoke:

These word great for getting past the enemy and getting nit their spawn if it’s difficult to. Works best on Skidrow, Rundown, and any map where there’s only a few way s to get pas the front line.

Perks

Here’s all the perks, what they do and their role in the Art of Stealth. I will also give a rating how useable the perk if for Stealthing. (how useful it can be on average, basically)

Tier One Perks:

Scavenger:
You must login or register to view this content.
Level Unlocked: 13
Pro version unlocked by: picking up100 blue bags off the ground while using this perk

Scavenger allows you to pick up ammo & equipment from dead bodies, to do this you must have the perk on and when you kill people they drop small blue duffle bags for you to pick up. The Pro version acts just like Bandolier from CoD4- which gives you TONS of ammo for your bullet-weapons. I highly recommend this perk for Ghosting as if you’re going to be using an SMG you’ll be spraying ammo away, and if you’re using an AR you’ll also prolly be using it Silenced with Cold-Blooded… - in other words you’re going to need a lot of ammo. (unless you don’t get anywhere past 5 kills with your primary, o have amazing accuracy…)

Bling:
You must login or register to view this content.
Level Unlocked: 21
Pro version unlocked by: 200

Bling allows you to have two attachments on your primary weapon, Bling Pro on the other hand allows you to not only have two attachments on your primary, but your secondary. I don’t recommend this for Stealthing as you kinda need Scavenger…This isn’t a bad choice if you knife a lot or use your secondary a lot, though.

One Man Army:
You must login or register to view this content.
Level Unlocked: 45
Pro version unlocked by: 250 kills with it on

One Man Army (OMA) allows you to switch classes at any time, giving up your secondary weapon to do so. It takes about 5 seconds to switch, though the PRO version speeds this up to about 3 seconds. This isn’t a bad idea if you want to switch from Stealthing to not Stealthing, but that’s about it…

Marathon:
You must login or register to view this content.
Level Unlocked: 4
Pro version unlocked by: sprinting 26 miles with this perk (a marathon is 26 miles)

Marathon allows you to sprint for infinity, the Pro version increases the speed at which you climb ladders or over objects. Not bad on Derail, or for rushing the enemies’ spawn on Estate or something. Just don’t use if you run out of ammo fast. (which like I said is really, really easy to do when you’re Stealthing, unless you use your secondary a lot, knife, or have amazing accuracy. Overall it’s alright I guess.

Slight of Hand:
You must login or register to view this content.
Level Unlocked: 4
Pro version unlocked by: 250 kills with this perk

Sleight of Hand allows your weapons to reload twice the speed as normal., which can be very useful while Stealthing. The Pro version half the speed it take to aim down your sights, as well as un-aiming down your sights. This is probably just as good as Marathon is for Stealthing - it’s just the ammo problem again…

Tier Two Perks:

Stopping Power:

You must login or register to view this content.
Level Unlocked: 4
Pro version unlocked by: 250 kills with it

Stopping Power increases weapon damage by 1.40%, while Stopping Power Pro increases the damage done to kill streaks by bullet weapons by 1.40%. Overall this perk works well if you’re Ninja-ing with a Silenced SMG, but otherwise this would be for non-Stealthers.

Danger Close:
You must login or register to view this content.
Level Unlocked: 33
Pro version unlocked by: 250 kills with it

Danger Close increases your explosive’s strength by 1.40%.(unlike Sonic Boom from CoD4 that was 1.30%) Danger Close Pro gives your kill streaks this attribute of increased lethalness. This perk can be used with Ninjas if you want to use Danger Close with Launchers, C4 or whatever if you’re going to use it over Stopping Power. (which I don’t really recommend a whole lot)

Hardline:
You must login or register to view this content.
Level Unlocked: 9
Pro version unlocked by: 40 kill streaks with it (ie at least 2 kills in a row)

Hardline makes it so you gain your millstreams in one less kill, Hardline Pro on the other hand allows you to gain your deathstreaks with no less death. I don’t really recommend this for Ninja-ing (as you have to have Cold-Blooded for Ghosting) unless you’re all about having UAV. I’d take the other perks over it for Ninja’ing my self. (well at least in most cases)

Light Weight:
You must login or register to view this content.
Level Unlocked: 4
Pro version unlocked by: sprinting 30 miles with Light Weight

Light Weight increases your movement speed by 7%, Light Weight Pro cuts the time of bringing your weapon up to your hip after sprinting in half. Light Weight is actually a good choice for Ninja-ing, just make sure you’re accurate and move a lot to use the full benefit of this perk. (such as rapidly strafing)

Cold-Blooded:
You must login or register to view this content.
Level Unlocked: 25
Pro version unlocked by: destroying 40 enemy kill streaks with it

Cold-blooded makes you invisible from Killstreaks (UAV, CG, AC-130, ect) as well as makes you not appear a s a bright white target on Thermal Scopes. The Pro version of this perk makes your name not come up when targeted, and when someone is aiming at you their cross-hair doesn’t turn red. This is the only perk for Ghosting and is also used for Ninja-ing. Use it unless you’re semi-Ghosting. (I.e. Silenced weapon+ Non Cold-Blooded Tier Two Perk, or Un-Silenced weapon with Cold-Blooded (type of Ninja-ing))

Tier Three Perks:

Steady Aim:
You must login or register to view this content.
Level Unlocked: 4
Pro version unlocked by: 80 hip-fire kills with it

Steady Aim increases your hip-fire accuracy by 65%. Steady Aim Pro is just like Iron Lungs from CoD4 - it allows you to breath twice as long while looking through sniper scopes. (or in this case thermals too) I would pick Sitrep or Ninja over this for Ghosting. It’s not bad if you’re Ninja-ing, though.

Last Stand:

You must login or register to view this content.
Level Unlocked: 41
Pro version unlocked by: kill 20 people while in last stand

Last Stand allows you to pull out a secondary after dieing, the Pro version lets you use equipment while in Last Stand. Don’t use this, just don’t. - ‘Nuff said.

Ninja:
You must login or register to view this content.
Level Unlocked: 29
Pro version unlocked by: 50 CQB kills

This perk makes you not appear on all enemy Heart Beat Sensors. (excluding Free For All, see my sig.) The Pro version makes your footsteps 75% quieter, ie 25% of it’s original amount of noise. I would highly recommend this perk for Stealthing, provided you be careful enough not be blown to pieces by a sniper’s Claymores.

Sit-rep:
You must login or register to view this content.
Level Unlocked: 37
Pro version unlocked by: destroying 120 enemy devices with this perk(C4, Claymores, ect)

Sitrep makes all explosives (frags, semtex, claymores, c4, tactical insertions, ect)(excluding FFA again,- my sig) glow red, even through walls and at a good distance. The Pro version makes you and your teammates footsteps to ONLY you sound 25% of it’s original volume. It also makes all enemy (again, FFA) footsteps 4x louder. This is really useful for Ghosting, possibly Ninja-ing.

Scrambler:

You must login or register to view this content.
Level Unlocked: 17
Pro version unlocked by: 50 CQB kills with this perk

This perk makes people’s radar’s get fuzzy when you get close to them, the Pro version delays the detonation of Claymores to like 3 or 4 seconds. This perk is pretty much useless if you want the element of surprise. (Ie the whole point of this guide, Stealthing)
Don’t use this.

Commando:
You must login or register to view this content.
Level Unlocked: 4
Pro version unlocked by: 20 knife kills using this perk

This perk more than doubles your current knifing range the Pro version makes you have zero fall damage, ie you can fall as far as you want and not die. (provided you’re on the map) This is a great perk for Ghosting/Ninja-ing if you have a secondary pistol with a tactical knife, or if both your secondary and primary aren’t very good for CQB. (such as a ACR Silenced and a Javelin) You have to give up Ninja for this though, so I recommend this for Ninja-ing more so than Ghosting.

This is a decent all-around ghosting class. I you want to make sure your targets don’t escape behind cover when you’re shooting them go for a Stun. If you get stuck in CQB just knife them and hope for the best. Really the biggest weakness of this class is the fact you don’t have Ninja.

This class I a nut-shell is like an ant… You go into the enemy base own anyone there, then camp it. Use the tactical insertions of course, just make sure it’s in a good spot. (I.e. not right at your feet)

This is a Rushing Ninja Class. Rush your opponents right a the start of the match to hopefully catch them off guard and unload your 50 bullets into them. Once you die switch to another class.

Ahh, a pure anti-sniper class. Use your UMP to burst-fire counter snipe and snipers not looking at you, or hell just take your Javelin out and counter-snipe them with that… Use your Flashes to flash their hid-out and storm in and kill them. If you see a Claymore because of Sitrep simply flash it and run past.

This is a counter-snipe class, if you see a sniper that sees you drop a smoke at your feet and snipe him with your FAMAS. You can set a Claymore to watch your back. If someone comes close AA-12 them to death. Just keep in mind you only have one single mag of the AA-12, so don’t spam it.

This is a Ninja Class - specifically useful for Karachi & Invasion. Fire off RPG’s from buildings and set C4 traps. If you’re forced in CQB - good for you. You have a very, very fast TTK weapon with great hip-fire.
