Well after reading the various results that people are getting i finnaly decied to test it out myself. Final verdict, after my testing, shows that it changes nothing. Please read what i did before arguing/flaming.
So all my setups have the same perks. I used OMA so i can swap equipement and/or replenish ammo without changing my position. I found a location where the wall in front of me will show the bullet hole decals and where there is a barrier that can press up against. This way i'm always at the same distance from the wall regardless of what loadout i'm trying.
So in a nutshell, I tested it with the iron sights, noob tube, red dot and shotgun attachement in that order. Went full auto shooting the wall for all 3 clips without moving then strafed slighty to the side, so the decals dont overlap, changed loadouts then repeat same steps for each configuration. All this was done at "mid range" distance.
Looking at the bullet spread gives me the results. In all the isntances, the gun will recoil straight vertically quite randomly regardless of the attachement. The spread pattern is quite consistant. I also did it with 6 full clips on the 2nd round of testing.
So yeah, dunno if that's how the others tested it but the way i did doesnt show any change in accuracy. Obviously, controlled burst shooting is more accurate. So dont tell me that how i should have tested it. I'd like to know what steps the people who say it works did to get their conclusion.
On a side note, the ACR is the most accurate one when going full auto. It has the tightest spread of them all. Surprisingly, the UMP45 has the same type of vertical jerky recoil as the FN... Dont bother mentioning the FAMAS or M16, they are 3 bursts and i'm talking about full auto.
