(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I started the Barrett vs Intervention which turned out2be a great thread... now i want to know what gamers on NGU think of the two semi auto snipers (discounting the 50. Cal)

Save Point
Down to personal preference, like the other two snipers, or red dot vs holo, or Ben & Jerry's Phish Food vs Choc Fudge Brownie.

IMO
WA2000- just 'feels' better
Intervention- same 'feel' thing, and it looks nasty with blue tiger
Red dot- Less cluttered (save FAL and M16)
Phish Food- mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
:p

from long range the intervention is pretty accurate for me, the M21 isnt. close range with acog is most difficult with the intervention but its not considered sniping tho if your firing from such a close range and not taking your time to get kills.

WA2000

This gun is overall better, since you are more likely to achieve a one shot kill with/without stopping power, but does struggle with a silencer.

M21 EBR

I agree with the other guy that says the M21 EBR is great with ACOG, I know this from past experience, but that fact of the matter is that (from past experience, and discussion with other PSN members) The damage is lowered as the range is greatened, I have shot someone in the head during an estate sabotage map, (wihtout stopping power yes) and that didn't not kill him :n:, do any of you agree?

Thanks for reading this, please take a minute to rep+thanks Happy

i agree man. i could get the 2 shots in without a problem, but sniping from a greater range is more difficult than an intervention or wa2000

I defeated!
Well on the grounds of noobish than technically i can see how people would think that the ebr is noobish, i dont agree, its a BA sniper, but i dont use it that much, and i given a gun i wanted to use to actually "Snipe" with i.e shoot from long range at stationary/moving target, than wa2000 if i couldnt use the barrett.

I prefer the WA2000

Without Stopping Power, it's a 1-hit-kill from the chest up, but it doesn't benefit from Stopping Power at all, sadly. Though, if you silence this gun and throw Stopping Power on it, it's still a 1-hit-kill from chest and up.

The M21 on the other hand has just a touch less recoil, but it's only a 1-shot-kill if you hit them in the head. Stopping Power does benefit this gun, but only in the chest-and-up region. I suggest if you don't plan on going for heads ALL the time, you should go for two quick shots to the gut/chest area WITHOUT Stopping Power while using a Silencer. The Silencer lowers the damage to 50, so the shots have to be within a few seconds of each other or you won't kill them with two shots.

Basically, for a STEALTH sniper, go for the M21. It has little-to-no recoil and is a 2-hit-kill with a Silencer Equipped. Stopping Power doesn't affect the silenced version of this gun in any way. (98 damage headshots).

If you plan on being able to run around a little bit, perhaps go for a Sleight of Hand Pro/Light Weight Pro combo with the WA2000. It allows for a quick zoom in, and if you give it enough time that you could hold your breath and take a shot to the chest, it's a 1-hit-kill.

I suggest putting Steady Aim Pro on both of these guns, (if stopping power is used on the M21) as you have to hit chest and above for a 1-hit-kill.

Side Note: The WA2000 has the longest switch in/out animation of any gun. If you need a shotgun/machine pistol (except for the M93 Raffica) to defend yourself at close range, use the M21. I've died in the time it takes to switch to a Desert Eagle, but the time is DRASTICALLY shorter than switching to any other type of gun.

Here's what I say, M21. The first sniper I mastered and got fall on. I get one shot kills all the time with this with stopping power, just aim for the upper chest and above. This sniper does take more skill to get 1 shot kills with, not spraying, I hate people who spray. Plus if you use silencer and stopping power you can still get one shot kills. Guys, go with M21.

Stopping power does affect the silenced version. With stopping power you can get 1 shot kill headshots, without it it takes 2 shots.

I accidentally did a 1.4x multiplier for the headshots. M'bad. Yes. It does kill with 1 hit with stopping power. (Silenced Snipers + Stopping Power are the same as a non-silenced sniper without stopping power)

Yeah. I hate people who spray too, btw. Nothing pisses me off more than when I'm using the Intervention and miss one shot and then see 4 really visible tracer rounds go by my head before they actually hit me.
