Mini-Uzi Guide.
Please request more guides! PM ME.
Why make a guide to the Mini-Uzi, not the UMP/MP5?
The Mini-Uzi is seriously under-rated/used, so people need to read this so they can use it and bask in its glory.
What will this guide consist of?
It will be just a general guide to the Mini-Uzi, what attachments to use with the gun, what perks to use with it, tactics, ect.
This guide will be split into pages, for each topic, this is for easy navigation and to help organisation.

General Overview.
The IMI Mini-Uzi is a submachine gun featured in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. It is a more compact variant of the ubiquitous Uzi submachine gun.
A Mini-Uzi in real life. The Uzi is an iconic submachine gun designed in Israel and has seen worldwide use. It had roughly the same barrel length as the earlier MP40, but due to its repositioned magazine and telescoping bolt, was far more compact.
The Mini-Uzi is 360 mm (14.17 inches) long and is a scaled-down version of the Uzi, firing the same 9mm Parabellum cartridge. First introduced in 1980 for use as a weapon for personnel that require a compact defensive weapon, the Mini Uzi comes with a side-folding stock and retains a small forward hand grip.

Rapid fire is actually quite useful for the Mini-Uzi, providing you fire from the hip. The Mini-Uzi's fire rate is already horifically high, therefore raising it even more will add unneccesary recoil, but if fired from the hip it will increase kill speed.

The silencer is my personal favourite attachment on the Mini-Uzi, it reduces recoil slightly, and adds the ability to stealth with the gun. Although silenced, the gun can still be used to rush in and keep a low profile, which is the beauty of this gun, its deadly close quarters damage.

In the unlikely event you suck with the iron sights, use the acog, it adds a bit of zoom on the gun, and for a strange reason makes it more accurate, the attachment is better than red dot/holo because of the added zoom, and more often than not this gun is better from the hip.

Perks.

Marathon is the only perk 1 I think you should use with the Mini-Uzi, it is a close quarters gun, therefore mobility is needed, hence marathon.

Stopping Power: increases that 4 hit kill, to a 3 hit kill, doesn't seem a lot, but when your running about, looking to quickly finish people and move on to the next; it makes a great difference, good perk.
Lightweight: this is basically used to increase the benefits of marathon, therefore making you incredibly mobile, and hard to hit.
Cold Blooded: this is the perk you want to be using if you are taking a stealth approach with the Mini-Uzi, fairly obvious why, invisible to UAVs, good perk again.

This perk is the only perk 3 I would use, you might be thinking why not steady aim; well the hip accuracy is good enough anyway, therefore steady aim isn't neccesary. Ninja will make you even more stealthy because of the HBS invisibility, and the pro silent footsteps, so you can silently persue someone.
[multipage=Tactics]
Tactics.
Rushing:
Rushing is probably the best way to use this gun, you may not pick it up instantly, and you may die a few too many times in the process, but keep at it, and you will become epic with this gun.
Tips for rushing include, don't just run out into the battlefield, you'll die, go into enemy territory, duck into cover, pop out, kill someone, run further into the enemies area, and start repeating the process, you don't always need to duck, it just helps begginers.
Stealthing:
Stealthing is another good method to use with the Mini-Uzi, the silencer attachment is a must, for the reduced muzzle flash, and minimized recoil.
Tips for stealthing include, not going straight through the middle, go round the outside of the map, flank the enemy, get in behind them, this is the ideal method for stealthing, obviously they cannot find you because of cold blooded, so your safe on the whole UAV part. Another way of stealthing is patience, pick a spot where the enemy is going to advance to, wait for them to do so, pop them, then the vital part, MOVE, stay still = die.

Probably the best map for the Mini-Uzi, its fast paced, non-stop, close quarters action, and no gun fits that criteria better than the Mini-Uzi. I have labelled good routes for both spawns on this map, they are practically flanking, therefore I would use the silencer, but people aren't going to be building up killstreaks easilly (apart from you

) so use stopping power/lightweight. The yellow spots are typical camping spots, where you are going to be annoying and flank the enemies, and kill the campers, hopefully they will rage quit. Do not get stressed out if your tactics don't work first time, keep at it, and annoy, this map will be difficult to get a streak going on, but persist.

Same principle for the colours. This is a camping map, 9 times out of 10, the majority of the enemy team (and probably yours) will camp, therefore equip cold blooded, as killstreaks will build up. This is basically a flanking paradise, you can get in behind the enemies via so many different pathways. Campers use claymores, obviously; you must use your grenades, its much easier to take out a camper via semtex than running in possibly getting claymored. For this map I would use a UAV, infact, UAV is a must, I would describe the UAV as a.. "think your gonna camp without me noticing? no." device. Again, on this map, just persist. If you get a UAV every run, your going 3:1, now thats a brilliant K/D, with a lack of effort.
Estate

Mini-Uzi works wonders on estate, get in behind those filthy campers again. For this map, use CB again, as campers will often obtain UAVs/Harriers. Basically, estate is a battle for control of the "Lodge" building, everyone tries to camp there, and I'm sure we've all tried to aswell. So the key to success in this map is bossing that building, and the vacinity of it, its not always top priority to get into the building, since you have cold blooded on, you can constantly hover the area, popping everyone that tries to get in, and when the action dies down, move to where the enemies are spawning, and catch them all before they have a change to get in, this a great map to get a lot of kills on once you learn the ropes of it.
Wasteland

This map is a circle, we all know it, everyone heads for the underground; to counter this, stick to the shrubs, and equip cold blooded, to be unseen by thermal snipers, and to avoid being raped if the enemy happen to get a harrier/chopper gunner. Stick to the shrubs, and depending on what side the enemies are piling underground from, flank round them, and nail them. If possible, for your secondary put on RPG, this can be key if there is no way into the underground because of a high capacity of enemies; RPG = empty

. There are a few sly people who try to lay about in the grass with their gillie suits, so take caution to the wind when your rushing in, and be aware of your suroundings, do this and you'll survive just fine.
I will be adding more map tactics, but this is all I had time for.
[multipage=Killstreaks]
Rushing:
When rushing, you want to find a way to get in behind the enemy quickly, without them noticing you if your using an unsilenced weapon, for this reason, use the counter-UAV, trust me, it works wonders. As for your other killstreaks, predator missile, and pave low, when rushing you don't want to be held up by manning a chopper/AC130, you want to be constantly in amongst it.

Stealthing:
When stealthing, you want to be constantly aware of where the enemy is, so you can get behind and keep yourself alive, most importantly, you need to be able to eliminate large areas of enemies if your in a spot of bother, for that reason I choose to use the UAV, Precision Airstrike, and Stealth Bomber. They may sound stupid, and unusual choices, but I have tested them, and they are perfect for this approach to the game. Get your UAV, that's 3 kills, not hard, from there you should get an extra 3 kills, for your Airstrike, and there you normally get 2 kills+ with it, leading you straight onto your stealth bomber, which is extremely powerful, and can obtain a lot of kills with correct placement and usage.
