I was using Scavenger and while I had my Akimbo .45's, I saw that even if my ammo was full, no matter what I would see the Scavenger Icon and hear that noise every time I ran over some ammo packs. I tried this with several other weapons and found the same result. Eventually, I got Scavenger Pro without actually picking up new ammo, but by just running around. Now, this might be a little old, but I'm not sure. Anyway, if you didn't know about this, go and try it with your akimbo weapons and Scavenger! This is what's supposed to happen it happens with every gun besides the launchers. Scavenger will pick up ammo packs and count towards Scavenger Pro if you don't have Scavenger Pro since normally a gun has what? 60 ammo? With Scavenger Pro you have 180 so w/o Scavenger Pro it will keep picking up ammo packs until you are at 180.
