There was only 1 guy left and he had to defuse the bomb but he let it go off because we wanted to play another round.

He was standing right beside the bomb (there was nothing between him and the bomb) and it exploded however, he didn't die.

Everyone in the game was wondering why he didn't die.
Is there any explanation?
