I think it has something do with the angle the riot shield was.

Probably just lag.
I've knifed someone with a throwing knife right in the chest and yes i didn't miss i'm 101% sure and he survived -.-

yep thats happened to me, was in a pvt match with my mate and i threw the knife in him and i was like OMFG that was in you, then he killed me, theeenn he started running around and he was able to pick up the throwing knife where ever he was cos the knife was in his foot, he stopped and i looked and it was

either lag or he recovered
