(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok, so i bought a pair of px21's for my ps3 today. now when i got it all set up i started a FFA, and needless to say i rocked house, i went 30-2 i could hear peoples footsteps above me, and below me. also i could hear weapons across the map, even silent weapons, i could hear tons of stuff. But than i went into a TDM with a party, and all they seem to do is to make shit more loud....i mean yea, it sounds great and all, but its almost impossible to hear foot steps with all the damn tubes going off, and when i do hear footsteps and i check my mini map its always a team mate. So what im driving at here, is anyone with a turtle beach, or any gaming headset, does it take a little while to get used to the new sound scope before you learn and get better with them?

I just hate moving towards the action and hearing someone behind you. You turn to look and see a friendly and get shot in the back.

press START (visual map) from time to time....if your friendlys are near you, most likely the enemy is on the other side...just keep on going foward

OMG i hate it. That's why I prefer HC S&Awesome face cause it's only the voice that comes up and not a whole freaking song.

I'm thinking about getting the PX21's as well (if my mom let's me)... so I was wondering if there was a way to change the sound field or bass level to make air support quieter without messing with the sound of footsteps and gun reloading and all that?

well so far the px21 are good, im just trying to hard to rely on them and not playing the game how i normally do, and its gotten me killed alot. But i notice when i play my usual way it does help me, i hear people coming up behind me, and hear people upstairs, i just hope i can get more used to them, because its still a bit aggravating.

I use PX21 on PS3 and had to adjust the mic volume in the settings. Hadd to set to 5 because my friends could not hear me.
The clip broke the 2nd day and they hurt my ears after 2 or 3 hours. But I still like them

Yeah I just bought some x41s (im a little bit of an audiophile) But yeah getting used to them still is a bit hard the first time I wore them a chopper gunner scared the crap out of me but im starting to get used to if you know spawn locations it helps alot in discerning where your enemies are coming from. I use sit rep pro as well though and it really does help it ONLY increases enemy footsteps which quietens teamate footsteps and your own slightly by simply raising the volume of the enemies. Also ninja pro is a good option as you won't hear your own footsteps either. Im starting get used to them now though and I don't need to use sit rep pro or ninja pro. But those perks do help in being able to better understand the sounds if your using 5.1 or higher where they are located although this also easy to do on the px21s just have know what the terrain is like behind you Winky Winky.
