Could this be something to do with Mag? wasnt that 268 players at once? maybe similar to the bypass way with resistance

If its a hack, the person probably just figured out how to change the number, not the actual amount of people in game. As you said, only 12 people were actually in the game. Even if there was 268 people on MW2 servers, the lag would be too bad to actually play.

The lag would probably be INSANE, and as you said, there were only 12 people.

As someone posted above, someone probably just hacked the number of people.

I personally would just get MAG if you want something like this.
