you can just delete your patch and use the unknowns patch blocker to stop you downloading the patch but to stay signed in i think you will need v2.2 which you have to pay for

so really...

If you want to prestige hack on mw2 read this

I am not the founder this works without any bypassing this works ive done it before

What you need:
Prestige profiles (error and prestige profile)
A normal offline splitscreen profile.
And of course MW2 and a PS3.

Well, lets begin.

Put the downloaded prestige-files on your USB.
Then plug the USB into your PS3, and paste the files to your PS3.
Start MW2 > multiplayer > splitscreen > and load the "Prestige" profile > Start the offline game (it doesn't matter which options you selected) > Shoot around and stop the game.
Now do the same, but with the "Error" profile. (thats to uncorrupt the files)
If you did that, you can delete the 1.09 patch and do the tutorial.

Delete the 1.09 patch.
Start MW2 and cancel the update.
Go to multiplayer > splitscreen > load the 'prestige' profile > Go to game-setup.
Click on Turn PSN unlock on, then a confirmmessage comes up. DONT click on yes/no, but sign in at the playstation network. Cancel the update. Click on Yes (the confirmmessage), and sign in again at the playstation network. If you did it right, your online stats are loaded now.

Then turn your PSN unlocks off (your emblems will change, but your nickname stays). Go back and load your 'error' profile and prestige. Then go back again, and change your profile to the 'prestige' one.
Turn the PSN unlocks on (the same way as before. sign in @ psn before confirming, cancel update, click yes and sign in again). If you did it right you will see your online profile, but your level is changed to level70. Prestige with this. Now your done.

To check if you did it right; go to the main menu and start a solo mission. Quit it when its loaded and go to Multiplayer > Splitscreen > Load a non-prestige profile (not the error, and not the prestige profile, just a normal one) > Game setup > PSN unlocks on (same way as before) > If you did it right, you will see your online profile in the prestige you want.

Now you're ready to play. Just click on "play online" > accept the 1.09 patch and you're done! The first time it will be hard to understand everything, but the second time you can prestige hack in less then 5 minutes.

Q: When I load my prestige profile it gives a error. (data corrupt) What to do?
A: Download the 1.09 patch again. > Start MW2 > Go to multiplayer splitscreen and load the prestige profile. > Start the game > When the game is started shoot around and stop the game, now load the "error profile" and do the same (shoot around and quit the game) > Quit MW2 and delete the 1.09 patch. Now your able to load the prestige and error profile.

Q: It doesn't load my online profile stats.
A: Just have patience. Try again. You have to act fast. (sign in - confirm 'yes' - sign in again)
