My mate told me that now, if you hack, say to a prestige, they can ban your IP address, is this true?
And also, what is this infection thingy? Soz I dont know, so if someone can clear up these 2 questions, it'll be nice

Rarely have I heard of people being banned from their IP. Especially for this reason.

Think about it. If you did the prestige hack(but instead of editing the codes for whatever prestige, you boosted it in offline) to like 9th prestige level 70. If you are 2nd prestige online, and you did the process for the prestige and got 10th prestige, you didn't edit anything; so that means it was an improper ban.

Also the infections are hacks/mods hunter128 figured out how to get them with the patch. Theres a load of different hacks out there now.

The newest one that comes to my attention is the almost challenge lobby.

why would they ban your IP address you can just change it yourself IP addresses are NOT permanent

Well, If they range ban you it bans the first 4 or last 4 of the IP adress which your IP changes can only change the last 4. Therefore you would be banned on the first 4 meaning you cannot out run this type of ban. In other words you would be banned forever unless a change of internet provider although they can acutally ban your PS3 from going online.
