I'm just curious what you guys think, about why Infinity Ward makes outer parts to these maps? I know most of them only have a little bit of the map outside, so that the map doesn't just look black outside, but with some of them, like Favela and Karachi, why did they writing all that extra code if they don't want us going out there?
I just think so it seems more realistic, like to give the impression that your not locked in to a certain area, when really you are. Or it's just to give glitchers something to do
To make that the area is not accessible geographically rather then have a city weirdly blocked by a fence. However it's stupid when they block roads with cars; Tanks sure, but cars?
No. The maps are designed with certain ideas in mind. It's more like "This corner could be a great choke point" and not "hey guys how about we add a corridor here because we make maps randomly". Making maps bigger isn't always better.
If you have ever tried building a map from scratch. You always start at a bigger scale. Its then too much trouble to cut out the "extra" bits as.it would create leaks between blocks and textures.
