Private matches but say it was an XP lobby and you got 10th prestige, your 10th prestige would show up online too.

It depends it can be both

With the newest infections(AC130 in CP, Super Knife, Instant Reload) they work online if the host has the mods. You do gain XP.

I was playing a game with Dexgod and little_legz online with the mods, it's fun.
