I have managed to download the patch file onto my PC, it is encrypted though and I have no clue what to do with it, or what to open this kind of file with.

Would it be of use to anyone if I was to upload it ?

No, I'd say this is an OK section for it. He's not asking a question about how to hack, he's just asking if it would be of any use to people if he uploaded his .pkg file. Which would definatly belong in this section.

And I think there's already a link on here somewhere to a .pkg file. Sorry man.

And that's cool, well looking at the file, I cannot see any way of decrypting it after a big google trawl. You must be able to access the patch in an easier way.

I got a mac and you CAN'T open ps3 .pkg files

I did the exact same thing as you. I have the .pkg file but no way to decrypt it.
