Yes you can but, it can be hard you need to have a dvd player that ahas the record option (you need a disc) there you can plug you dvd players input into the output or somthing w/ the outputs

I had been looking for the same type of thing. Thanks for the ideas... I happen to have media center on one of my laptops... Any advice for the connection? (It doesn't have HDMI)

I have a laptop, how do you do the media center thing? IT doesn't have a HDMI port though..Can you buy like a HDMI port adapter?

If you have a DVD Recorder than its ideal, Beacause all you have to do is hit record and rip the Disc onto you pc , then Edit it on your Computer !
