(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); i have been doing the hdd studio tut (to dycrypt the hdd so i can do lobbys)

and it aint been working for me.

when i trey to find all sectors with data different from 0x00 on the hdd when i have patch on there. it keeps giving me the same 4kb .bin file. i have tried this many times, different methods, ands its still the same.

the program itself just switchs data between to images. so am gonna have a shot at doing it manually (with tut)

ok heres what i need, and why i need it.

i need to know how i can replace hex data via copy and paste from another image.

i have located the patch (encrypted) on the ps3 hdd. i know its patch because when i cut the hex (from start offset to end offset as a block) an opened new file and pasted it. it was 16mb in size (deffo patch as there was nothing else on the drive but repeating layer encryption.

so i know where the dummy sector starts and ends (offsets off the full image) i need to know if a program can inject a full block, overwriting what its being placed into.

am gonna do what hdd should be doing for me.

place the patch in the middle of the dummy sector. replace image to hdd. take bk dummy.mp3 via usb and inspect

i am thinking that everything that gets installed onto ps3 hdd gets encrypted. looking at the read me for hdd studio. if i put data ON DUMMY, IT WILL COME OUT DYCRYPTED.

plz help if you can guys
