(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); most 1v1s are used for sniper battles bc usually how good you are with a sniper is how good you are in a real game. not sure why but thats how i view it.
-minuscule health
-radar always on
-no killstreaks
those are my normal rules. please post the rules you generally play on and discuss my rules im just trying to get feed back

gamebattles singles and 1v1s are very similar.

There is 1 thing you should all realise though( and i don't think many of you realise this):

*If you are host you have a HUGE advantage in a 1v1, even if the other player is round a corner aimed down sight with a scar waiting for you, you will see him a good 2 seconds before he see's you.

If you don't believe you have this advantage then play against someone twice, you host the 1st game and he hosts the second and you will how its 100x more difficult when your not host.
Because of the above 1v1's prove nothing unless a 3rd person hosts them.

However 1v1 rules i do whether sniper or any gun are:

Mode: Free For All
Map: Rust
Radar: On (we want to finish before christmas, nades greatly reduce radar on camping)
Killstreaks: Off
Score: 1500
Perks: On
Health: Normal (i hate it when snipers lower this, if your so good then you should be accurate enough to get 1 hit kills on normal settings instead of 1 hit kills on the toes, accuracy is a huge part of being a good sniper health on miniscule takes it away)

really hosts have the advantage? i always thought it was the other way around... no shit hosts have the advantage thats obvious
with that being said i do like your opinion on the health. i dont agree with it i just dont disagree. ive just never heard of somebody push for normal health. accuracy should count in a 1v1 your right

my point was that the advantage is HUGE.

many people just don't realise how much of an advantage it is, beating someone in a 1v1 which you host is pointless because you see them before you even appear on their screen.

i've had countless n00bs message me for 1vs1, and then complain when i get someone else to host it.
they are only keen to 1v1 when they are miles ahead of me by connection.
funny how i get deleted when they can't host Claps

also the reason i push for normal health in every 1v1 or competetive private match is because there is no reason for it to be less, unless you play hardcore.

all these snipers that quickscope are great on miniscule health, when their incredibly unaccurate shots always get a kill but put them on the normal game rules and half of them can't get a 1 hit kill to save their life.

oh im not saying you can't win, i have also won many 1v1's when not hosting. skill is still a huge factor but connection advantage will mean you will beat a player who is better than you purely because you are host and see them before they see you.

those 2 losses are probably because they had a 2 second host advantage on you.

The way i set up the rules is to minimize any kind of advantage one player would have over the other. It is the only fair way to actually do a 1v1. These are also the most common rules used in game battles. So i guess the rules i explained work well enough for 1v1 gamebattles but then again im a tenth prestiege with 31 days played so what do i know?

Another thing, camping is possible no matter what rules you set. If anything killstreaks, noob tubes, uav, and launchers promote camping more so than not having them. So basically, your wrong.

Bolded part. I do my one vs one's in Overgrown / Scrapyard. Most of my friends do it in Overgrown. When we play in Sniper Clan Lobbys we 95% play in Overgrown, 4% Scrapyard and that 1% Rust. Our settings are usually Radar on, 1000 points, No Time Limit, Life minuscle, Killstreaks off. Usually perks off.

Climbing up the ladder
Map Rust
Unlimited Time
1500 / 3000 PTS
Hardcore Mode
Radar On

Just the feeling of getting a hitmarker and knowing you killed him, makes quickscoping so much more worth it.
Of course, you can't see the killcam, so you have to trust the guy that he didn't hardscope you the first 29 kills.

Another thing, I never have to bitch about connection, because I have a great connection, and whenever im host, so does everyone else who is in the same continent as me.

Your forgetting that you set up yours for sniper battles so of course you pick overgrown. Which you should since its the perfect map if you want to have a sniping face off. However, in any other scenario overgrown is one of the worst maps for a 1v1.
