I have wifi on my Computer and normally run WiFi on my PS3, but I wanted to prestige hack so I think I need a wired connection? I tried it on WiFi & my proxy won't connect so I was going to try that. I just hooked it up with the Ethernet cord but it still wont pick up a connection, is there something I have to do in my network sharing to enable my PC wifi to go into my Ethernet cord back into my ps3?

Are you going to buy and ship RFOM to my house? I'm sure in the hell not driving out to go buy it when if I get help properly I can do it without spending money on a game I don't want.

Even when you are on a wired connection it will not read the proxy? Are you sure you are using the proxy correctly?

you need to enable internet connection sharing (ICS). to do this, you need to go into network settings, right click on the wireless internet connection, properties, go to the sharing tab, and check the box for ICS. hope this helps.

Try to reset your router. There should be a small button on the back of the router to reset it, press and hold it for 5 seconds and all the lights should flash. This should clear up your problems and fix your internet problems.

[This also resets any password you have set on your router and will reset it to the default]

it's not his router though. he's trying to share the internet access between his computer and ps3. i used to do this while bridging host to people and myself during the good old halo 2 days.

yeah sometimes bridging two devices over one router can cause DNS trouble - by resetting the router your re-configuring the settings and should resolve and IP conflict.

haha you misread my previous post. i didn't bridge two connections on one router. i enabled ICS. (the method of cheating on halo 2 was called bridging).
