(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Okay i have a theory that you cannot hack PS3 slim regardless of FW

I have a dump from 3.15 and 3.21 and 3.30 Slim
I also have a dump from 3.15 and 3.21 and 3.30 Fat
4gb dummy file

It must be something that slim writes between HD and Hardware id cos when a new hdd is put in it asks for FW update then formats and resets memory like network and user accounts etc whereas on fat it just formats and sets up with users and network settings all in place??

--SLIM--
The dummy on Slim ones is nowhere to be found (done it over 5 times between 3 different machines, iv even exported the hex text from winhex then put into a formula in excel database to delete uniques and was only left with a few duplictaes but none were dummies, also if i run compare hex lines between image without dummy and image with dummy in hex in hex editor Neo it highlights different lines but none seem to repeat??? I also know a few people who have the same issue and have not found it??

--FAT--
The dummy on every Fat dump i found within 15-20 mins even 3.30fw, if you go to middle of drive the scroll up / down within 10 mins you can find it or run compare through Neo again and `choose different files` tab and it will list the pattern of repeats in RED and they are dummies and can be recognised easily??

If anyone has FACT and they have done a SLIM ps3 on 3.15 above (not their mate said he done it as too many people talk crap) pls let us know how as i dont think using the standard way it can be done Smile

UPDATE: MY PS3 FAT 3.30 HDD IS NOW DECRYPTED Smile

Thanks for the info man, but I thought it was impossible to decrypt 3.30 (btw I have a FAT ps3).
