My KDR is a lot lower than it could be (it's only 1.19) but I like to mess around a lot when I play and constantly worrying about my KDR would get annoying. Yes, I know having a really high KDR looks cool but at the end of the day all that matters is whether you win or lose matches.

K/D means absolutely nothing in this game. My friends and I will always mess around and commit suicide in this game. When we do play seriously, though, we are tough to beat, but we just like to have fun and mess around.

I guess I'm more concerned with other people's opinion of my KDR than my own.
I have 87 people on my friends list and not one has a KDR over 2 and only 9 have one over 1.5
I don't know what the total MW2 avg KDR is, but I would estimate it be between 1.1 to 1.2, especially if all the hack/cheat stats were removed.
I play objective games and try to win at any cost.
My KDR is 1.03 so I'm below avg, but every time I try and improve it, I can't stop myself from trying to win.
I used to care more on COD 4&5 and played more TDM, but its become so boring and camper filled now that I've stopped caring about it at all now.
I've got a crappy KDR but I score well, win a lot, going to make P10/L70 tonight with 29 days 8hrs ( need 67,000 more xp )
But most of all I have FUN playing with my friends.

I used to play for KD, then i started to learn how to quickscope - thankfully now my quickscoping is about the same as using an assault rifle, meaning im getting my KDR back up... but since quickscoping i've found the game a lot more fun and found that crying about my KDR is stupid.

I'll admit, after a few months of playing the game i started becoming a tryhard and all i was bothered about was my KDR. I managed to get it to 2.64 (its now 2.21), then a few months ago i realised how this just made my experience of the game not worth playing, i usually raged everytime i died. How sad. So i started playin for fun and forget about that shit, I enjoy the game alot more now.

But yea, in a way it does matter. If you have a high KDR your obviously a good player OR an extremely good camper. At the same time, i wouldnt worry about it too much, i think alot of people are too bothered about how good they are and how their stats look they forget how to have fun. Thats what games are for right? Fun.
