(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I know a lot of you out there are fed up with Modern Warfare 2.

Here I would like members to post their pros and cons with Infinity Ward's creation of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

I would then like people to address what they fell should be fixed or tweaked. Try to think of ways to balance the game out more, possible patches to come and stuff like that.

For example, many players were complaining about the Model 1887's range and damage, correct?
Now that the guns have been "patched" they have become giant air guns. The Spas 12 now takes over as it has 1 shot kills and quite a long range. I don't understand some people. Anyway, the Model 1887 is a 12 gauge shotgun, and a 12 gauge shotgun and a 12 gauge could blow you away from quite a distance.

Click the spoiler for info on the 1887 taken from wikipedia.
The Model 1887 was the first truly successful repeating shotgun. Its lever-action design was chosen at the behest of the Winchester Repeating Arms Company, best known at the time as manufacturers of lever-action firearms such as the Winchester model 1873. Designer John Browning suggested that a pump-action would be much more appropriate for a repeating shotgun, but Winchester was a lever-action company and felt that their new shotgun must also be a lever-action for reasons of brand recognition. To Winchester's credit, however, they later introduced Browning's pump-action shotgun design as the Model 1893 (an early production version of the model 1897), after the introduction of smokeless powder.
Shotgun shells at the time used black powder as a propellant, and so the M1887 shotgun was designed and chambered for black powder 12-gauge shotshells.

I'm not asking for you to try to make the game as realistic as possible because that would require quite a lot of fixing, just try some simple ideas and then try to build on it. Eventually a list could be made for everyone to decide if they like it or not. (Such as a possible patch suggestion)

Try to keep suggestions orderly.
Thank you,
Dead_Penguin.

Well i did have quite an essay written out until my laptop just blue screened on me for no reason. So i'll try and keep it short.

There's alot of valid points, but in particular i agree with gothikwon. If a beta was open a month or so before its release IW could of had alot of feedback and fixed/tweaked the issues still ongoing today amongst other feedback on the game in general. Thus making a more enjoyable game for the end user. It seems to me the majority of the MW2 community are getting more and more sick of playing this game, and it's not even been a year since its release! COD 4, what is it now? 3 years since its release? And most people i speak to enjoy that game now just as much as they did when it first came out.

I don't think IW have "failed", like i hear alot of people say. In my opinion it seems like they had all these great ideas for the game and gone a little over the top, and maybe a little rushed. The majority of the game is great, but they've obviously overlooked alot of things which i wont go into detail about, we all know what they are. So.. My conclusion is...

IW Pro - Ambition
IW Con - Executing that ambition

Let's nerf every gun so they wouldn't kill anyone. I mean it's unfair that the opponent has a gun and is killing me.

What started the hate for me was the shit matchmaking for international people (I'm an Aussie). Although they fixed it, it was 5 months over-due and nearly made me quit altogether.

Shotguns ruin this game the most. I mean, what sniper just snipes and doesn't revery to his shotty? One in two thousand would sound accurate. There range are amazing (no need to make a game too realstic) and also is a cowards way out.

Grendade launchers. In the hands of a n00b, they are really frustrating. In the hands of a pro with [One Man Army Pro], it creates one of the worst experinces ever.

Lastly, the maps. They are terrible. They are many good maps [Afgan, Scrapyard, Terminal] but some are horrendous [Map Pack 1 and 2 and Derail]. The maps are just too big sometimes.

Also the spawn system. Play demolition and be spawn camped. You'll see Winky Winky

another thing i don't get is why they even bother with the in game statistics, they are all wrong in some way or another for example:

the barret has the most damage yet its actually the same as the intervention.
or the intervention has the most accuracy, yet every gun is 100% accurate and the intervention actually has the most sway making it the least accurate sniper rifle.

or on the smg's the mp5k has les damage than the ump, its exactly the same.

or on assault rifles the Tar apparently according to the in game stats is more inaccurate than the F2000 or the mp5k lol

Yeah the in game stats are terrible, the m4a1 is another great example, that thing is dead accurate, yet the rating is terrible. and the M16, everything is positive, yet it is out-shined by the famas lol
