I don't see a need for an external drive if a download of the decrypted file was available. The more people you allow to experiment with the files of the hard-drive the higher chance of success we will have of a functionally hack. Also do you need a external drive? If you have the file re-encrypted could you potentially get it back on the ps3 with a flash drive because I don't have the normal equipment to do so. I can purchase it if necessary though.

getting the patch_mp.ff is the hard bit, if u have that its piece of piss editing the vars and doing what the heck u like.

It's not that easy... the hard part right now is getting into this .ff file to read it... editing it itself will be easy...

also once you editing it you will have to encrypt it back into ur ps3 harddrive...

if you want you can download the .pkg mw2 patch... and try to find ways to get into the .ff file..
