Recently, I've been making statements about the Pave Low as to whether or not it counts towards your killstreak, well, today I'll write you a little description about it.
- The Pave Low may be obtained from a Care Package (4.35% chance), Emergency Airdrop (3%), or by using the Pave Low killstreak at 9 kills - 8 with Hardline.
- The Pave Low has 3000 hit points, it can survive a lot of bullets.
If we take a rough generalisation that the M4 with SP+ can take out a UAV plane, with 750 points of health in 1 clip, that's 4 clips of M4 to take out a Pave Low.
- The Pave Low has a flare, this means it can avoid the locked-on rockets by dropping angel flares. After these flares have been dropped, guided rockets can once again lock on and take it out the air.
- The Pave Low has 2 turrets, as opposed to the Attack Helicopter, and Harrier's 1 turret.
- Taking down a Pave Low is worth 400 experience points.
- The Pave Low picks it's targets based on three factors
1) Players score, the better the player is doing, the higher the attack attraction to the Pave Low.
2) Distance from the Pave Low, the closer to the chopper you are, the more likely you are to be attacked.
3) If the player has attacked the Pave Low or not, if yes, you are under a higher risk of being targetted.
Now, the Pave Low is one buggy ass killstreak.
- You may know that any killstreak obtained from a Care Package does NOT contribute to your killstreak. The Pave Low is an exception to the rule and DOES, even when it comes out of the Care Package or Emergency Airdrop.
- If the player earns a Pave Low and the Pave Low gets the next kill then Pave Low's kills will NOT be added to the current kill streak. However, if the player gets a kill before the Pave Low, the Pave Low's kills WILL continue the killstreak.

And there's the Pave Low in a fairly detailed description for you.
Whether the 1.06 patch addresses these issues and are not given in the change log, I am not sure.

Ok I've just done some quick testing in splitscreen again and got the following results
Despite what I've said about killing before the Pave Low kill's, making it add to your killstreak, I could not reproduce the same results I could do previously.
So now, nothing will make the Pave Low count to your killstreak (except care package/emergency airdrop).
However, for proof that the kill before the Pave Low did count, observe the following video and pay attention to both of his Pave Low's:

I tested:
calling in the Pave Low, then killing, then the Pave Low killing
killing, calling in the pave low, the pave low killing
