if i follow that thread will it get my HDD decrypted correctly so i have the mw2 patch on my pc?

If that is the correct way and i will end up with the patch on my pc where do i go from there then?

If you follow the readme it will get the patch to your pc, all the info you need is in there.

Its just figuring out what to do with it once you have it is the hard part!......

is a normal pc hard drive the same as a ps3 hard drive?

its a 2.5 sata hard drive, same as most modern laptops

so if i was to buy one of them hard drives how would i get the ps3 firmware ontro it so its like a spare ps3 hard drive?

no offence pal, honest im not being awfull but if you cant figure that out you have no chance of setting up a lobby? i would read some older post n gain some knowledge??

anyway the answer to your question is once you have a spare drive follow the readme in hdd studio and begin to decrypt!

ps this only works on FAT ps3`s slim dont work yet

yeh no probs i know your not being awful its just you giving helpfull critisism so thats good Smile also i have a fat ps3, the 60gb model and i believe that they are rare now?

Also i have an idea for everyone, decrypt there hard drive, get the patch on your pc then use the patch maker and download a clean patch with it, then use the patch maker to customize what you want then save it into the clean patch.ff then open that with notepad and save as and save it as a .pkg file then open the original patch you have off your hard drive in note pad and copy the data from your costum patch and paste it into the original and then re-encrypt the patch
