(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); When you Have Modded Hdd
And Your Trying to Mod A Patch
Then Lets Say You Have Done That
Now You Have Re encrypted Hdd & patch
But when You Goe On The Game You Have Modded
& it Wont Load In certain places Or it wont load atoll

The reason is the Patch is checksummed
So when you try To Change The Patch it gets corrupted
I think you need this tool to find checksum
And when changed
i think you use it again to make a checksum
and this Tool is called CRC

Its True You need to change the checksum to mod patch
with this tool

i get countless p.ms asking for help, and i help when i can. i am sorting my own lobby aswell you know.

anyway you backup aint broke, you just gotta use some logic

format hdd >> then do a stright backup

format again and download only the patch >>> do back up

compare the 02 achives from backup_1 and backup_2

the first backup 02achive will be 7.5mb and the 02achive from 2nd backup will be 22.7mb >>>> if you do your math you will notice a 15mb increase from the 1st and 2nd backups (thats the patch) compare the 2. and what doesnt appear in the first backup is the patch data all wrapped up nice and neat.)

Well, by going what you said, in hex editor, the original patch pkg starts with PKG header, now by what you are saying, the Missing data (15.1mb) diffrence should be a PKG file, but it is not and it fails to install on the PS3, and by looking at the MW2 official .pkg file and the one i got it, it is complely diffrent.

What are you using to extract it?

Grab the hex from the file and paste into a new hex and save as pkg, its quite simple and should work, as there are no tools that extract the .dat's created on the ps3
