The reason is the Patch is checksummed
So when you try To Change The Patch it gets corrupted
I think you need this tool to find checksum
And when changed
i think you use it again to make a checksum
and this Tool is called CRC

once hdd is encrypted do usb backup (ps3 will put patch data back to .pkg as default for security) extract the pkg from the backup achive and proxy to ps3 HEY BRENDAN THE BULLSHITTER FOUND A WAY TO GET A MODDED PATCH ONTO PS3 WITH CORRECT CHECKSUMS
