When I started playing it, I had a friend tell me to try it out, and since then, I've been hooked on it. But I'm beginning to have doubts about it actually being useful.. When you are 1 foot away from someone, and they have an excellent twitch, most of the time they will knife you before you can even shoot or drop shot, especially if they have a better connection than you..

So what do you think is better?

My firend tried to get me on tactical but ever since i started playing mw2 i cant
go wrong with out default
to hard to change

when i go nife only i use default but i always use tactical in normal gameplay

tactical is definitely the way to go. its like seananners says, u should have all of the movement with your body on the analog.
not saying default is bad, its hard to switch over. i also switched over at like first prestige. its hard to get used to it, but when your finally used to it, its awsome. plus dropshotting is really powerful, you really win a lot more 1 v1 situations. you are less eager to knife true, but when u get like that shock reaction where you knife to your circle button there will be no problem with tactical.

Oh I think you misunderstood me :p. I've been drop shotting since my first prestige, and I'm 10th now. But I'm starting to wonder how much it has actually helped... With some long range shots, and mid/not too close shots it's great. But when you turn a corner, it's whoever hits that knife button first (unless the other person uses tactical, which I rarely come across in that situation). I've had a lot of BS deaths trying to drop shot or shoot period when they're one foot away, but they just have to knife.

it's like that other guy said.. I only use default when i go around ONLYusemeBLADE-style ^^

i personally use default, never been able to make the switch, but for knifing obviously default and for drop shooting obviously tactical

although i do agree with the whole control your body with the one stick thing

it takes an extra little bit to press square or whatever it is on the xbox to crouch and by then, you could have died, but of course in other situations, being able to knife is very convenient, it pretty much depends on your comfort and opinion as well different situations call for different layout

It's just a pain in the @ss to switch back and forth. I'm so used tactical that if I try to use default if I'm messing with friends, I'll be crouching when I'm trying to knife. Tactical is like my default now. I never do knife only stuff in a public match. My main question is, what saves your life more, being able to knife quick, or being able to dropshot.
