I explained to him but he still had no idea. I just want to explain what infection really means. If there is a noob there and he doesnt see the "Hosting Infection Lobbies? Post Here" thread - he probably thinks its just some stupid thing some noob set up - its not. Its a very good source of information.

Infection means, just like a real life infection, you get it you keep it for a certain amount if time (a.k.a turn off your ps3 or join a public lobby, you lose it.)

Say the speed lobbies, you join them and you can host them by using your own Private Lobby.

People don't know what an infection is. That's just... wow...

Well the infection actually overites the temporary i think server.cfg file and allows ur private match to run from it.
But once u play online the MW2 game re-downloads the settings causing the server.cfg file to be over-written and back to normal

how do you keep the stats after you get off patch blocker?

There are no stats. This thread refers to infectious lobbies like Global Thermonuclear War, Speed Lobbies, and slow-mo lobbies. They don't alter your stats at all since they are private matches.

omfg.. if u dont know what a infection is at 7 yrs old ur completely.. mental.. no offence its the same thing as a virus it spreads around u join someones game thats infected then u get infected ect... its kinda like the domino effect if 1 falls all fall
