try using ps3 prxy like in shanes tut

Hmm how did you unpack the PKG to edit patch_mp.ff? If you dont answer this you are obviously lying about being 1 step away.

Well there are ways of doing it with RPM Package Maker in Ubuntu, you install the ps3 sdk,yum,and the ps3 binaries then you can unpack the pkg. Edit the Patch then repack it, then possibly hex edit the sony DRM.
