He told me that you are wasting your time trying to edit the PKG or the Patch_mp on your PC, he also said i need to have 2 Playstaions 1 with Linux installed and 1 on 3.40. Once you have modded the file on the OtherOS create a back up of the Drive then Trasfer it over to your Other Playstation with 3.40. I am not sure how many of use still have OtherOS on a Old playstation. I know for a fact the my Brother Playstation has never been updated for like over 1 year as he dose not have internet so i am going to start working on what Hunter has told me.

When i was looking at the instructions for the data transfer utility, it says both PS3's need to be updated to the latest firmware before data is transferred.

Why data transfert utility ?
Just use backup option in system menu !

hes being called names because people who have took days / weeks to find hacks/glitches have shared there's and hunter as more than likely used them. but now the child hunter has found one he doesnt share. sure sighn of a child. pure greed.

I don't get why everyone in this post is getting in each others face about how to do the hack, if no one has found out how to do it how can you say someone else is wrong? Also, ask yourself, if you had the answer, would you share it? Or would you pretend you didn't have it, give fact hints, and use it for yourself?

Hopefully this method gets patched or something so that the real tutorial is released and everybody can face palm themselves for not seeing how he done it lol.

Well, after a month of trying, i have a modified patch running, and it was a lot simpler than decrypting the HDD I am now in the process of writing the method hunter used,its really simple and a lot of you wannabe hackers are going to kick yourself. Why do people think hacking has to be hard?

Exactly like I said, MAJOR FACE PALM !! The reason everyone thinks it is so hard is because what evryone is saying i.e. Decrypting the HDD, Editing the server.cfg, installing linux, getting the checksums right. The list goes on and on and on lol.

Because we stupidly assume Infinity Ward is capable of learning from past mistakes.

Just curious, but in layman's terms... What was the method used?

There have been many before you who have also claimed to have it working, only to be proven wrong and looking like a fool in the long run.
