(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I'm trying to use the PS3 proxy server to get my version of the patch but i keep failing at the internet connection test. I've read you have to disable your firewall but is there a way without disabling it?

It is Windows XP.

Did you put the Proxy GUI in PS3 mode (by selecting PS3 to the left of the "Start" button) and then pressing start?

Yeah, i followed a guide and did everything as it said but when i click start (it changes to stop so i know thats working) and then click test connection/tried to log in, it says internet connection failed/connection isn't working or its very slow.

Works fine for me.

ok first off make sure your ip address are the same in the proxy and on ps3 turn your ps3 on do not start the game do not check the ps3 mode box. then start the proxy now sign in first before loading the game once you sign in start your game once it says to start the patch click ok. as it starts you should see your info of the dl site in the proxy UNDER LOG TAB. click on the link the proxy gave you then you are downloading the patch.
