But you can open Blu ray discs and explore.

Download BRDGen. Just like UMDGen (i think thats what its called) for you PSP hackers.

Thing is, you cant play burned discs, but maybe you can get something out of it.

Yep he is right...its just basically useless to do imo

i made a mention in another thred a few days ago of copying the files from the disc onto HDD via a debug console and using the SDK. Thing is even with the ability to view and edit stuff in the files, its useless in that you can't do anything with it to test it. Best option is suppose if anyone is lucky enough to have a debug console, to use the SDK on PC to copy files over, modify and play directly on the ps3 from the HDD and work from there. But alas debug consoles are not easy to come by.

Other option is to have OtherOs still installed on PS3, have linux installed and just boot it up to view files and edit on the HDD locally, but i think we'd need something to boot the game off linux for that to work?

Dude I had this idea awhile ago in early February the reason why its nearly impossible is because blueray disk readers and writers are easily 300$ and even if you do buy them theres no guarantee that your going to be able to do anything with it so sorry for bursting your bubble but if you do have 300$ to waste be my guest
