Post: Core vs Hardcore, which requires more skill?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); This can be a touchy subject that I know has been brought up before but not for about eight months. I play hardcore but I know the majority plays core. However I'll put my take on both sides and any good points that can be added will help.

HARDCORE: It can be difficult to get kills from your air support considering most use cold blooded since they do not need stopping power. More campers since their is not a kill cam (however if you know the spots then you can most likely figure out where they are depending on which direction the screen drops as you die). You must keep track of your ammo/equipment in your head since there isnt a reference on the bottom. No crosshairs can make things a little more difficult. You can also get picked off from across the map easily. Air support brings you down much faster when not using cold blooded.

CORE: Can be difficult because you run out of ammo much easier. It takes much more damage to kill someone. In most cases stopping power is a must use perk (IMO) leaving you more exposed to air support. Kill cams give off position as does the HUD when not using a silencer. I think it takes more skill to play core bc you must maintain a good shot for the long range kills. You need to be ready to use your knife more often.

Core is much more difficult for me just bc i rarely play it. I prefer hardcore bc IMO theres less looking at orange dots on the hud and more finding players on the screen. In hchq our team usually out kills around 400 while dying around 100 times. But I'm trying to figure out which takes more skill. I gave my input so let me know, are the core players more talented or are the hardcore players more talented? Dont be scared to stir shit up...:y:

Core takes skill? GTFO go spray with your ACR nubs Not Happy or Sad , Hardcore DOES require skill seeing as you have to make sure your at the top of your game at all times whereas core you can make mistakes as it takes 5000 bullets to kill you

HC is basically easy mode lol 1 hit kills with like everything? Seems pretty easy to me... Downside to HC is campers.. but hey they camp in core too... But more in HC.... I recently started playing HC resurgence due to me and my friend do OMA Danger close noob tubes and we get kills like mad (prepares to be flamed) ^^ I personally do better in core because im not a try hard in hardcore..

Hardcore takes more skill. I play it almost exclusively.

They both take skill.

Hardcore requires more defensive play because 1 shot and your dead, you don't have any time to get in cover or fire back, the person that hits 1st wins. Therefore camping is much more common.

In core you get 3x as much health this means that most guns are between 2-4 hits to kill depending on if they have stopping power.
Stopping power isn't needed unless your constantly running and in 1v1 situations, if you use cold blooded and usually attack from behind that extra bullet to kill makes no difference.
In core you can actually run round successfully and do well but like in hardcore its camping that gets the high kill / kill/death scores.

Personally i prefer core, because i can survive, even if i make a mistake. plus nothing beats getting shot from behind, doing a dropshot and spinning round and killing them lol
Hardcore is a much more accurate representation of sniper rifles though, i believe sniper rifles should be a 1 hit kill everywhere except the limbs regardless of stopping power, i used to love sniping on hardcore on W@W on mw2 the maps just aren't made for snipers, there is no outskirts, cliffside or seelow type maps. except for wasteland and possibly derail.

Only a few do well on both.
HC players hate having to shoot so much.
Core players hate dying so quick.
I play HC HQ mostly but can't judge which takes more skill.
It does seem easier to have a constant to chase down the dots on core.
