(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Introduction:

This gun is unlocked when you get to create a class. This gun is one of the best guns for close range. Reasons being are its high damage and high rate of fire. A definite downfall for this gun is its recoil, one of the reasons many people hate using this gun. I hope by reading this guide I can help you better understand how to use this gun more effectively.

Statistics:

Pros:

-high rate of fire
-good clip size
-good iron sights

Cons:

-high recoil
-fast rate of fire

The rate of fire is good for in close but for long range shots it makes the recoil harder to manage as well the faster rate of fire means the gun will burn through ammo much quicker, that is why I put it as a pro and con.

Base Damage: 40-20

Damage multipliers
Head - 1.4 (56-2Cool Man (aka Tustin)
Chest - 1 (40-20)
Body - 1 (40 20)
Limbs - 1 (40-20)

With Stopping Power
Head - 78.4-39.2
Chest - 56-28
Body - 56-28
Limbs - 56-28

Fire rate: 850 RPM
Reload time: 2.54 seconds
Empty time: 3.3 seconds
Add time: 1.77
Sight time: .2 seconds
Raise time: .85 seconds
Drop time: .5 seconds

The above information I took off the Denkirson website.

Attachments:

I am going to talk about the attachments you can put on this weapon and explain how I feel about them.

-Rapid fire:

This is a great attachment if you are in a close quarter situation or on a small map like Rust or Scrapyard. I recommend putting this attachment on if you are playing on small maps or staying in close quarter situations. This attachment increased the guns rate of fire. This allows you to shoot more bullets out thus dropping your enemy quicker.

This attachment does increase the guns recoil, which the gun already has a ton of, so for medium to long range shots, it is almost impossible to kill someone with this attachment, especially since the guns recoil is unmanageable, and unpredictable.

In the end I feel this is not an attachment that you should have on this gun, so I do not recommend it.

-Red dot sight

This is a good attachment for being able to better pick your shots, and with this guns insane recoil, this attachment allows you to be able to hit more shots and see your enemy easier when this gun starts bouncing around.

This attachment is kind of a waste this being because the iron sights are already good on the gun and if you are able to master the iron sights there are so many other attachments that can be more beneficial for you.

I only recommend using this attachment if you hate the iron sights and have trouble using them.

-Silencer

This attachment is great for staying off the radar and being stealthy, as well helping to reduce the guns recoil and muzzle flash so you can better hit those longer shots.

This attachment reduces the guns damage over a distance, and since this gun already has bad damage only doing 20 damage at longer ranges without stopping power, having the silencer will make this gun utterly weak and useless, making it take forever to drop someone at long distances.

I only recommend using this attachment if you are trying to be stealthy.

-Acog scope

This is a good attachment if you are trying to unlock thermal or want to have a better view of things farther away.

This attachment however increases the guns recoil which is already unmanageable, making it almost impossible now to kill people especially at longer distances. It also gets in the way making it harder to see enemies around you that are close to you and the aim down sight is longer so you will lose those 1 on 1 battles if the enemy sees you at the same time or just before you see them.

I only recommend this attachment if you are trying to have fun or unlock thermal.

-FMJ

This attachment is awesome if you want to get extended magazines or for shooting people who go behind cover making it easier and quicker to kill someone behind cover.

This is almost a waste of an attachment, it makes the gun louder so hurting any chance you want of being stealthy, as well weird sparks come out when you shoot which makes it harder to see what you are trying to kill when sparks are everywhere.

I do not recommend this perk at all, only good if you want to get extended magazines, or are having bad luck with people getting behind cover before you can kill them.

A side not on this attachment is that it does not increase the guns damage, only the damage it does while shooting at someone behind an object, examples being a couch or window.

-Akimbo

This attachment is great for in close situations, especially with steady aim on, the great damage the gun does in close plus the high rate of fire makes this gun a beast with akimbo on small maps or in close, just so much fire power coming at a person.

This attachment is terrible for medium to long ranges, almost useless for these ranges. Also you cannot aim down sights so you cannot pick your shots and so you pretty much have to spray and pray.

I would only recommend this attachment if you have steady aim on or on small maps. Also if you are going to use it on say medium to long range maps, I highly recommend something like marathon and lightweight so you can get into those in close situations to maximize the guns effectiveness.

-Holographic sight

Just read the red dot sight, it pretty much comes down to preference, as this attachment is more bulky but the reticule is bigger.

-Thermal scope

Good for dark maps so you can see people as they light up.

Just adds to the guns recoil which if you read the acog scope part you will understand why it is bad.

-Extended magazines

Good attachment because you run through ammo so quickly with this gun and this attachment makes it so you do not have to reload as much.

You have to get 40 fmj kills to get this which can be a pain so you must tell yourself...is it really worth it?

I recommend this as you do not have to reload as much which is always helpful especially in close which you are going to be mostly with the MP5k if you maximize the guns effectiveness.

PERKS:

-Marathon pro

I highly recommend this perk, and to go along with the guns 100% mobility, you can run and gun and easily flank the enemy as well it allows you to get to those in close situations faster which you want to maximize. Also the pro version allows you to climb stuff faster which can be useful if you have to climb lots of things to get to the enemy.

-Sleight of hand pro

I would recommend this perk in something like search and destroy or free for all where you are going to be facing a lot of 1 on 1 battles and it matters who gets the first shot off. As well if you are not going to be using something like extended magazines, this perk is useful for being able to quickly reload and be able to get back into the thick of things because sometimes reloading can be a life and death situation so this perk can be useful then. Also I would recommend this perk only as a run and gun perk so you can win more 1 on 1 battles and be able to quickly reload so you can keep going. So running low killstreaks with the perk is recommended.

-Scavenger pro

This is good because this gun runs through ammo quickly, so this allows you to keep refueling for those longer kill streak rewards also the pro version allows you extra mags which is helpful so you do not have to reload as much.

-Bling pro

I recommend this perk in something like search and destroy. Having Extended Mags and FMJ is a killer on the MP5k, but you could invest in a better blue perk than Bling.

-One man army pro

This is great for going for those longer kill streaks.

I am just going to put this in now that I only recommend for normal playing as perks: marathon/lightweight/ninja/commando, other perks are more situational perks.

I am just now going to briefly talk about the rest of the perks as they do not matter as much.

Stopping Power

Equip akimbo on the MP5k with Scavenger, Stopping Power, and Steady Aim, then watch those tryhards complain about your class setup.

-Cold-Blooded

Only use if you are going stealth with the MP5k silenced. You will be invisible to everything but the naked eye. Also, you will need to know alot of flank routes if you want to stealth.

-Danger Close

The MP5k does not have a grenade launcher, but the pro version makes the MP5k great if you could pull off good killstreaks involving air support.

-Steady Aim

Read Stopping Power.

-Sitrep

If you have Sitrep Pro, this perk is great if you don't have a turtle beach. You could just run past claymores and C4s, so I would not recommend this perk at all unless you don't have a turtle beach.

Perks I highly do not recommend are:

Sleight of Hand

The MP5k has a faster ADS than other weapons, and a decent reload time. Plus, you don't want to be wasting more ammo with Sleight of Hand.

Scrambler

You don't want to be a guy magnet, trust me.

Sitrep

You would just run through claymores and C4s before they explode on your face. Also, the louder footsteps isn't worth it.

Last Stand

You're that desperate for kills, aren't you? Only use if you have M93 Raffica, or don't use this at all. (Second one recommended)

I only think sleight of hand is good for running and gunning and search and destroy.

I am now going to talk about some tips and what not to help you out:

I highly recommend staying in close quarter situations or small maps. This is where the gun is most effective.

Second, you could dropshot as an alternative to aiming for the hip or chest. Dropshotting means to go prone while shooting an enemy. Because you are going prone, the recoil will be reduced. By the time you went prone, the enemy will already be dead before you are.

I also recommend aiming for the enemies chest.

Going Stealth

Maybe you don't want to rush, but you want to be stealthy with the MP5k. Fortunately, the MP5k is also viable for a stealthing class. The most recommended perks are: Marathon, Cold-Blooded, and Ninja. Also, you will have to use silencer. With the reduced muzzle flash and invisibility to radar, this attachment works best with Cold-Blooded.

When you are stealthing, you will have to move after every kill. The enemy will eventually look at the killcam if you're camping with a stealth class.

I am now going to talk about which maps to use this gun on:

Afghan: I highly do not recommend using this gun on this map, most people use assault rifles and sniper rifles so you will lose every battle plus it is so big and hard to flank the enemy because it takes so long to move around the map and there are so many campers on this map you will get owned. I give this map a 1/5.

Bailout: This map has too many long pathways and line of sight areas, you will get owned by assault rifles, although there are some decent spots for close quarter fighting. I give this map a 2/5.

Crash: Lots of buildings and close quarter situations makes this map ideal, but do not go out into the open areas or you will get picked off and owned everytime. I give this map a 3/5.

Derail: I know this is a huge map, but most of it is played fighting for the middle building so having a gun that allows you to move around quickly can help you dominate people in and around that middle building. I do not recommend going out into the open parts but no one really does so you do not have to be worried about those parts. I give this map a 3/5.

Estate: Most people camp in the house so you will probably be picked off before you can get to it, although if you stay in and around the house this gun can be effective on this map. I give this map a 2/5.

Favela: I would say anyone who plays on this map should use a sub machine gun, you can dominate on this map if you use a sub machine gun and others do not. I recommend sticking to ground level on this map. But there are so many close quarter areas and easy flanking on the enemy team that this gun is awesome on this map as well weak cover. I give this map a 5/5.

Highrise: This gun can be effective on this map if you stick underground or in the 2 main spawn buildings. Do not go outside or you will be picked off by snipers. I give this map a 3/5.

Invasion: There are plenty of buildings which is great for this gun. As long as you do not walk out into the middle you should be fine. I give this map a 4/5.

Karachi: I recommend sticking to ground or lower levels on this map, you would think this map would be ideal with so many buildings but there are so many high vantage points for people to stand on and pick you off so it makes this map a dangerous map. I give this map a 3/5.

Overgrown: There are so many buildings to run and gun in as well lots of cover while flanking. As well the many flank routes make up for the line of sight. I give this map a 4/5.

Quarry: There is not a lot of close quarter fighting on this map as well all the different line of sight around you makes this map not ideal. I give this map a 1/5.

Rundown: If you rush right away and can quickly get into the enemies spawn, then this gun can be effective, but be careful because the flank routes which are the bridges are usually covered by campers. I give this map a 3/5.

Rust: This is the tiniest map in the game, this gun will dominate this map. Easy 5/5.

Salvage: Pretty much the same reasons for Rust, it is a small map with close quarter fighting. 5/5.

Storm: This is a good map to rush in, and this gun is great for rushing. The multiple areas of close quarter fighting makes this gun great for this map. I say 4/5.

Scrapyard: After Rust and Salvage this is the best close quarter map in the game. The tons of close quarter areas makes this gun dominate on this map as well the thin covering allows it so people do not have many places to hide. I give this map a 5/5.

Skidrow: I recommend staying in the lower levels since most people in the upper levels have assault rifles. I give this map a 2/5.

Sub Base: The line of sight is so dominate, so not a good map for this gun, only good for assault rifles. I give this map a 1/5.

Terminal: Pretty much the same reasons as Sub Base. 1/5.

Underpass: So many snipers on this map make it dangerous so definitely a map I recommend going stealthy on. I give this map a 4/5.

Wasteland: Obviously a terrible map, barely any close quarter situations and line of sight every single way, pretty obvious here. I give it a 1/5.

Nice guide, don't use this gun too much unless its a small map but when you get close it makes for easy triples or killfeeds. Great gun IMO just terrible recoil.

i agree, it is only good in close quarter situations and small maps, it is a beast gun with its high rate of fire and high damage in close for sure

true, that is why akimbo is a nice little thing to have with these puppies and then just slap on steady aim but again its high damage and rate of fire as you said can make this gun a beast for hip firing

great thread, i have used this weapon and now know how to use it, i use marathon pro, lightweight pro, ninga pro and a silencer, and at long range i burst fire to get that 6 shots in them easily, i am very successful with this class setup, its weak anyways so why no just put the silencer because since it has low recoil why suffer being detected on the rader without the kill when you missed all your shots right?
