Everyone on here talks about KDR's over 2 or more with WLR's over 1.5.
I have over 30 days played with a KDR of 1.12 and WL of 1.05. I made P10,L70 yesterday ( no hacking ), play only objective games and usually am in the top 1/3 of the leader board .
But when I read posts here I feel like I must be a terrible player.
Am I the only one who thinks they are better than average( at least a little ) but read these posts and feel like some sub-human MW2 noob?

Technically anything over 1k/d is better than average.

Alot of people on here, have been playing since cod 4 and even further back.

for me cod4 was my 1st online fps, i started around 0.50 k/d and by the end of cod4 i was 1.33 k/d, albeit i am a defensive player. I have then improved on each subsequent cod game.
practice makes perfect.

If you play hard on objective modes( not SnD ) How do you increase KDR?
I can't stop going after the objective and camping near it to get a killstreak going seems so unfair to my team mates.
Best I usually do is finish near even but usually get a lot of kills,score, and wins.
I could go to TDM only, but its so boring and I end up with half the total kills and score.
I know I shouldn't care about KDR, but my FN ego wants it and everyone else says they have it.

My first online fps that i got into was cod4 same as @ASHBASH
my ratio was around 0.95+ , This was just as modern warfare 2 came out
so i was still pretty poo on MW2 untill a couple of months ago i made a new account my ratio hasent dropped below 1.26 it was at 1.40+ when i was like no prestige 30+ when i
hit 70 i started going real poo and now i got 1.30 ratio and have kept that when my kd drops the camper in me comes out ROFL !

i made a second account yesterday my k/d is 4.83 or summin however in WaW my k/d was barely over 1

Personally my favourite mode is TDM and S&, because i can then focus pretty much only on killing.

however i do play other modes with my clan, and i do just as good usually.

If you run, blindly onto an objective you will die ALOT, you need to kill the enemy around the objective with a silenced gun, and then take the objective when you have team mates in support.
you cannot die when taking an objective if there is no one there to kill you.

once you have 2 flags on domination, all flag capturing should stop and you should hold these 2 flags and rack up killstreaks. if you capture all 3, you will cause the enemy to spawn everywhere and you'll die alot.

generally its dependent on your team in objective modes, if you get the bad team you will lose and do bad, if you get the good team you'll do good, the only way to counter that is to avoid the objectives and kill farm.

its why i like TDM because i can win the game by myself even if my whole team is negative k/d, whilst improving my own k/d as well.

dont believe everything you read on the interweb theres ALOT of good MW2 players on ngu but theres also a few boosters and hackers aswell and the odd person who just B/S about there score and k/D.

Don't worry about it. People tend to inflate information. Even if half of the K/D's are true, as long as you enjoy playing the game, it doesnt make a difference.

This. Just forget about K/D, and have fun.

Even if you still want a good K/D, what's the point? Does it accomplish anything?

CoD 5 was my first and my K/D was 0.96

now on Mw2 i have 1.66
