Hey guys, it's Dannymc1993 here, making my first guide on Modern Warfare 2 - How to have a good, consistent game.
It includes a few tips and a few personal class setups that I hope will enable the new players to the game to have a good game and not get owned every game (although it does happen to the best of players too)
NOTE: These tips and setups are from my own experience. If you disagree with them, feel free to leave constructive criticism and your own opinions, and I will be sure to add them in and give credit
Tip #1 - Be Realistic. You're not going to get a nuke every game, especially if your team isn't the best. Stick to low(er) killstreaks such as the 5-7-9, 5-7-11 or even the 3-5-7 setup, and you should see your gameplay improve dramatically.
Tip #2 - Use the correct gun setup for the situation. You really don't want to be rushing with a Light Machine Gun, nor do you want to try sniping with an MP5K. Again, don't be stupid about the gun setup; if you're rushing, whack out the SMG shotgun class and go to town on those enemies.
Tip #3 - Don't rely on teammates shooting down air support - If you just continue the game as per usual (without cold blooded) you are basically just giving the enemy air support free kills. Even if the enemy does not have the nuke on, this could be the difference between a win or a loss in game modes based solely on kills (Team Deathmatch or Free For All). Shoot it down pretty much as soon as it is called in; the enemy might hate it, but your team will love you.
Tip #4 - Get some friends together and play as a party. I cannot recall the amount of games where I have done consistently bad, and then invited friends and suddenly done well. This maybe due to new enemies, I don't know. All that I know is, I play a lot better with my clan, so getting friends on your side will definitely help.
Tip #5 - Communication is key! Even if you don't have a headset, communication is essential in this game. Whether you just get a microphone or something for the team to hear you, it's necessary for people to know what you're doing too (flanking, rushing etc) so they may be able to provide support or not. Personally, I use Skype with my clan, which can be downloaded here for free:

And that's it for tips. Now, here are some of my class setups that you might want to try:
Setup #1 - Assault Class
Tar21 w/ Silencer and FMJ (This combination owns, trust me)
PP2000 w/ Silencer and FMJ
Semtex
Stun Grenade
Bling Pro
Stopping Power Pro
Steady Aim Pro
This is my all time favourite class to use. It seems that using this setup, it is easier to kill enemies.
Setup #2 - Flank/Rush Ninja
UMP45 w/ Silencer
M93 Raffica Akimbo
Semtex
Stun Grenade
Marathon Pro
Stopping Power Pro (the added damage is more beneficial imo)
Ninja Pro
Enemies hate when I rush them with this class.
Setup #3 - Sniper Class
Intervention w/Thermal OR FMJ (map dependant)
M93 Raffica Akimbo
Throwing Knife (montage clips ftw?)
Stun Grenade
Sleight Of Hand Pro
Stopping Power Pro
Steady Aim Pro
Again, one of my favourite classes to use; I can use this to run around with or stay back.
Hope you liked reading my guide as much as I liked writing it, tell me what you think and criticism would be nice as it is my first guide.

Okay so you find a corner of the map. Then you get claymores and place them infront of you. When some noob passes by tear him up. The key is to never move.
