Ok well dows that link work because im going gunna start recording stuff and i was about to buy a recording device but then i saw this. SO can I record my gameplay with this? OR is it a virus.

It works and you can't play games. It's only useful for getting to your PS3 and checking messages and stuff. Only works if your PS3 is sitting at the "Remote Play" screen. I put up a semi-tutorial:

so theres no way to play on your ps3 and record ur gameplay on ur pc with this? I really want to record some gameplay but I can't afford cap card.

There is actually quite a variety of capture cards available.

This isn't the place to discuss them though. Would be better in PS3 General discussion though. Anything over $100 is going to get you some decent quality.
