(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi i posted this before but the took it sown becuase it was in the wrong section!

I Didn't want to say any thing in hopes that we could get this modded .pkg thing working but the answer has been in front of since day one! And Hunter is on the defence... !

.::Updates::.

i forgot to say you will probly need a firmware lower than the debug one! Waiting for new debug.
ok so i just made a program that will write the firm ware to the usb lol (kinda not needed but hey!)

Well i told you had more info and here it is installing Debug firmware on a retail ps3!

WARNING!

Doing this can end in an unusable system!!!!!
This Video is more for proof than a tut
[ame=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GpP9NkqPDco]YouTube - Install DEBUG Firmware on on Retail PS3! (Video)[/ame]

Firmware Download: You must login or register to view this content. (Linked to ps3hax download becuase my internet is being weird i will link to my upload soon and remove this one!)

.::Install firmware tut!::.

Ok guys so to do this you will need two hard drives. Put a debug firmware on the hdd useing a usb to copy it to the hdd! Next after the restart it will ask you to install turn off the consal in the back if you dont a error will stop it. next swap out the hdd and copy the retail firmware to the hdd using a usb! When you acept the license swap the hdd with the hdd with debug software and boom you now have a retail consal with test software!

.:: Debug PS3 = True ::.

Ok so last night in talking to hunter i asked him about his method he told me that ngu could suck it and that why would he release his hard work!

Work?

Well lets see his first post ever not long ago i might say was a desperate question on why cant the computer read ps3 files!

i mentioned something about it being easy never got a response.

The thing is its not hard to get your hands on a debug and its the easiest way to run/decompile code on the ps3! There are no need for singers on the code it will run. Dump the pkg on the debug decompile it grab the dumped files and mod them you then simply recompile the modded code and he debug will run it!

I think the reason that hunter is so Mad about this is because people think he did something impossible When if i'm correct he used Sony's Own debug Against them!

I have other things too!
PS. I might be close to hacking the psn rent time!

Yes but the problem is, that there is no debug fw for 3.41, but there is for 3.21 and 3.15 etc. Only problem is that its partial debug, as in some functions don't work. But there are few that do, but you can always make a custom FW of 3.41 if you haven 't upgraded it, compare it to the debug of a lower etc and add back install other os and install via flash drive. Your not downgrading your still upgrading, just adding features. But the .PKG are signed and matched with a signed "eboot"

Problem is that even if you do crack the PS3 like GeoHot claims, the chance of everyone trying to do this for modding MW2 is going to drop substantially, unless there is something else exploitable on the PS3 that no one knows of. I think the first thing people need to work on is the NAND. If you can find a way to flash it you can have modded firmwares, but then you have to worry about the hypervisor. And another thing is that games have an encryption key, so even if you can upload modded patches, the encryption key is going to prevent you from running it on the disc.

and even the discs have a special protection that checks the sound the blue ray drive is making the high pitch frequency. the audio track is the rebuilt on this if it dose not match crash! sony is redonkulas even 3.41 had to do something!

Sorry I lost you there. But anyways, the point is you have to hack the hypervisor to allow it to run unsigned code and upload modded ISOs etc.

debug PKG's are not signed by sony and can freely be edited and you can install debug PKG's on debug Consoles and use a RETAIL game.

Even if you have a debug console there are limitations. But no one is going to drop around $1000 or more for one...

And even if you have a debug console, games have an encryption key that is read by the FW drive and sent to the hypervisor for decryption when a game loads.

So if you have a retail game and a debug console and .PKG you still can't do many things. Hunter said it took three months to do this right, well the programming/coding genius TheUnkn0wn took three months to gain full access to the hypervisor.

?????? the current method of playing backups on Debug firmwares uses ripping retail disks and replacing the eboots with ones from debug pkg updates for the game. I have no need to say anymore you obviously have no idea what your talking about.
