(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); What if we could mod the ps3 update itself( You must login or register to view this content. ) so that it could allow linux. Therefore we could do the geohotz hack and be able run unsigned code(Modded Lobbys!) I dont know if this would work, but its okay to post thoerys.

How you actually do it:

Find System32 on your Computer.
Then delete It and the mods will be enabled. Go on your Ps3 after deletion and check it out.
Its awesome =)

Any problems...Then come back here after Step 1!

It cant happen hackers have been trying to mod .pkg files for 4 years and no luck a .pup YOU MUST BE JOKING

GeoHot's hack has nothing to do with any type of game modding.

SRRY for not being an expert on ps3 hacking. I just thought about and thought that it may be a good try because I saw no posts about it. If would be able to put linux on and then be able to run unsigned code.

Actually I did post something about .PUP modding and how impossible it would be, just check my post statistics.

Here is the link where I was talking about custom FW, never said .pup but anyways

In order to truly run unsigned code you need to bypass the HV with some kernel modifications. Geohot's exploit gets you past the HV into memory editing, but no one was rewritten the kernel (or even tried from what I know)

Long long ways away from being "viable"

I wouldn't mind working on it, but I honestly don't think anyone would want to do heavy modding like this for challenge lobbies Winky Winky lol

It would take so much more, after hypervision there is more to hack, and when you think youhave it, remeber, the Cell has built into the hardware security.. That would be the hardest to crack.
