1st step:
IW added an additional file header to the ff-files (12-bytes: 49 57 66 66 75 31 30 30 05 00 00 00) and you need to remove it first before you can decompress the file.

2nd step:
After removing the header, your file should begin with 78, the header for Zlib with max./best compression. Store the file (don’t overwrite your sourcefiles, always create backupfiles first) in the folder where the ff_iw.exe is located. Open or create the decompress.bat or anything like that, use the command “ff_iw –d NAME_OF_THE_FF-SOURCEFILE NAME_OF_THE_NEW_GENERATED_FILE” in it and run the bat-file.

3rd step:
Now you will find a decompressed file in your folder. You can open this file with the Hex-Editor and do with it whatever you want. You can rip content, edit content or just check the files included for an overview.

4th step:
When you’ve edited the content and want to test something you only need to compress the file again. Use or generate a compress.bat or anything like that, use the command “ff_iw –k NAME_OF_THE_EDITED_SOURCEFILE NAME_OF_THE_NEW_GENERATED_FF-FILE 9” in it and run the bat-file. Don't forget the value 9 for best compression!

5th step:
Don’t forget the last step, add the additional IW-header to the new ff-file…

Hints:

In front of the files you will find the length of the file. 4 byte in little endian (reverse order). It often makes ripping of the files easier when you use the length.

People are leading themselves off... there's no need and it's simply cruel to lead people off like that. So far we know "injection" but that is more of a riddle than a hint.

I do know you made your own program (from the PMs we've sent back and forth. We know how to make patches, all we need is the step or two to get the patch/codes onto the PS3. That's the only missing step.

Also, one question. Does it require more than one PS3?

I'm pretty sure people listen to you and respect you. No doubt about that. Everyone knows YOU can do it. We're all just trying to figure it out but and trying to help eachother, but some people do indeed lead others in the wrong path.

And the reason people don't really listen to you somewhat is because you give us (the general NGU community) no insight what so ever. If you gave us some hints, or lead us even a TINY bit in the right direction, I'm sure more people would listen.
